Guests arriving at Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR) will be met by a Gemuka Adventures representative who will brief you and transfer you to your hotel. Accommodations will be booked on a half board basis to include dinner and breakfast.

After breakfast we depart on our full day’s drive to Selous Game Reserve, which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its diversity of widllife and undisturbed wilderness.

Today you enjoy a full day game viewing in the Selous Game Reserve, the largest game reserve in Africa covering more than 31,000 sq mi / 50,000 sq km. In Selous, you will have the opportunity to see big herds of elephants, greater kudu, Nyasaland wildebeests, African wild dogs, Selous zebras, crocodiles and the hippos that wallow in the Rufiji River.

After breakfast, depart for a walking tour inside the reserve area where you have the opportunity to see the animals up close. After lunch, we will go for a boating and canoeing expedition on the Rufiji River. We return to the camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Leave today on our drive to Mikumi National Park for a half day tour. Mikumi, located south of Selous Game Reserve, is famous for big herds of elephant, buffalo and impala. You will also have the opportunity to see lots of zebra, giraffe, lion and watch different species of beautiful and colourful birds.

Enjoy a full day game viewing inside the Mikumi National Park. In the evening, we drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, we will drive to Ruaha National Park for dinner and overnight.
Accommodation: Ruaha River Lodge
Spend a full day game viewing in Ruaha National Park, famous for big cats including lion, leopard and cheetah as well as bat eared fox, roan antelope, sable antelope, lesser kudu and greater kudu and you can occasionally see the endangered African dog. You will see lots of crocodiles and the hippos wallowing in the Rufiji River. Ruaha is also home to beautiful and diverse species of birds. In the evening, we will have a walking tour to view nocturnal animals that are rarely seen up close. We will also canoe in the Rufiji River.

After breakfast, leave for a half day tour inside the park. In the afternoon, we return to the hotel for lunch and transfer to the Msembe air strip for your flight to Dar-es-Salaam for half day room use and an early dinner prior to the transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
