Tour Overview

Udawalawe National Park, situated in the foot hills of the central highlands, is the perfect place to see the Asian elephant in large herds while Yala National Park is fantastic to spot the elusive leopard and sloth bear. To make this safari tour authentic we camp inside Udawalawe and Yala National Parks in classic tented safari camps at the heart of the wildlife. The continental shelf is very close to the shore off Mirissa, which makes it fairly easy and fast to reach blue and sperm whale pods. Just 1-1½ hours boat trip off the coast of Mirissa will almost guarantee you witnessing these massive mammals in the waters.
