Day by Day Overview

Set off for Murchison Falls National park, the largest conservation area in Uganda, well known for its wildlife, beautiful landscapes and the mighty Murchison Falls. Stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary on the way for some rhino tracking and a chance to see the only wild rhinos in Uganda. This will allow you to get close to the rhinos, giving you a perfect opportunity for some spectacular photographs. Make your way to your lodge for the evening.

Overnight at Pakuba Safari Lodge: lunch & dinner

After an early breakfast, proceed for your morning game drive in the park in search for animals before the sun rises. Expect to see a variety of species such as elephant, lion, giraffe and if you are lucky, the elusive leopard. After a midday lunch, enjoy a boat cruise to the bottom of the falls. You will have the opportunity to see hippo, crocodile and buffalo in the water or at the water edges from the boat.

Overnight at Pakuba Safari Lodge: breakfast, lunch & dinner

Wake up early and after a quick breakfast and briefing, begin your trek in search of the chimps. Make your way through the natural rain forest that is home to some of the oldest Mahogany Trees. In addition to chimps you will see numerous other ape species. Sit with the chimps when you find them and observe their interactions for a memorable experience. Later make your way back to the lodge after enjoying your packed lunch. After some relaxing, head out for an evening game drive and experience the bush in the evening topped off with an amazing sunset.

Overnight at Pakuba Safari Lodge: breakfast, lunch & dinner

After breakfast, proceed to the falls where you will be able to see them from above as the entire Nile River squeezes through an 8m gorge in an awesome display giving these falls the title of the ‘strongest falls in the world’. Make your way back to Entebbe/Kampala with an en-route lunch at Kabalega Diner.
