Day by Day Overview

One of our representatives will pick you up at the airport and take you to your hotel for the evening. You will have a short briefing and a short drive through the city to see some of the moments including the buildings of parliament.

Overnight at The Trademark Hotel: breakfast

After an early breakfast you will make your way to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve. The park is home to a huge concentration of large mammals and is widely recognized as Africa’s top wildlife reserve. The park is the northern extension to the vast Serengeti-Mara ecosystem, famous for its annual migration of wildebeest. Enjoy an en-route game drive as you make your way to your camp in time for lunch. In the evening you will enjoy another game drive as you make your way across the endless plains.

Overnight at Ol Moran Tented Camp: breakfast, lunch & dinner

Today you can enjoy a full day of game viewing and an opportunity for an in-depth exploration of this great reserve. Look for the large variety of animal and bird life that live in the park. The are over 450 different bird species with 57 of them being birds of prey. Explore the massive grassland plains dotted with the iconic acacia trees in hopes of finding some of the African elephants that roam the landscapes.

Overnight at Ol Moran Tented Camp: breakfast, lunch & dinner

After an early breakfast you will leave for Mbita on the shores of Lake Victoria, making your way via Bomet and Sotik. This drive will take you across the floor of the Great Rift Valley and over the Ololoolo escarpment in to the fertile western highlands, filled with tea plantations. Enjoy your an en-route picnic lunch and arrive later in the afternoon. Enjoy some leisure time and a wonderful sundowner, overlooking the lake.

Overnight at Lake Victoria Safari Village: breakfast, lunch & dinner

Enjoy a delicious breakfast followed by a drive to the nearby Ruma National Park for a half-day of game viewing. The park was created for the conservation of the roan antelope that is endemic to the area. After some lunch in the park, you can enjoy a boat cruise on the lake that will take you back to the lodge if you choose. Relax for the rest of the evening and even enjoy some fishing off the pier.

Overnight at Lake Victoria Safari Village: breakfast, lunch & dinner

After breakfast you will make your way to Lake Simbi. Lake Simbi Nyaima known as ‘the village that sank’ is a seasonal home to migrating flamingos. Arrive in time for lunch after which you can relax and visit the Kenyan National Museum for some Kenyan cultural knowledge. Later in the afternoon you will head back to your lodge.

Overnight at Acacia Premier Kisumu: breakfast, lunch & dinner

Today you will make your way to the last rainforest in Kenya, the Kakamega Forest. There are hiking trails that you can follow for an opportunity to hike and see some of the primate and bird species that live there. You will also be able to go on a village walk that takes you to meet some of the locals. In the afternoon you will return to Kisumu and can enjoy an optional sunset cruise on Lake Victoria.

Overnight at Acacia Premier Kisumu: breakfast, lunch & dinner

After breakfast you will head to Lake Nakuru National Park. The park was created to protect the huge flamingo population and the endangered rhino and Rothschild giraffe. Enjoy some spectacular game viewing in the park with the beautiful backdrop of the lake. In the late afternoon you then drive to Lake Elmenteita for a hike to the ‘Sleeping Warrior’, a hill that has the profile of a sleeping Maasai warrior.

Overnight at The Pelican Lodge: breakfast, lunch & dinner

After breakfast it is time to make your way back to Nairobi to catch you flight back home.
