Day by Day Overview
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by our professional and friendly driver-guide. Pick up and transfer to the hotel in Arusha town situated at the foot of Mount Meru, Africa’s 5th highest mountain!
Overnight at Arusha Serena Lodge (BB)
After breakfast depart, drive to Lake Manyara. Nestling at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, the park is recognized for its incredible beauty. You can see many game animals such as buffalo, elephant, giraffe, impala, hippo, and others. Enjoy lunch at the lodge. Afternoon game drive at Manyara National Park. Drive to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Overnight at Manyara Serena Lodge (LDBB)
After breakfast depart for Central Serengeti National Park. The vast Serengeti plains cover an area of over 14,763 square kilometers and during the months of the migration is the habitat of huge numbers of wildebeest, zebra and Thomson’s gazelle with estimates of up to 1.5 million. The Serengeti “Kopjes” (massive boulder islands of granite), standing in a sea of grass, provide shelter to a great variety of plants and animals, from the elusive leopard to the tiny dik-dik. Dinner & overnight at the lodge.

Enjoy a full day of game drives around Serengeti National Park. Depending on the time of year and the migration of the herds you can expect to see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes, and many birds.

After breakfast, drive towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a stop en route at Olduvai Gorge. Olduvai is the famous archeological site where the Leakey’s discovered remains of Australopithecus, Homo habilis, and Homo erectus, bringing crucial understanding to the study of the evolution of the human species. From Olduvai, you’re off to the Ngorongoro Crater, the 8th Wonder of the World, likely the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world. Arrival at the lodge for lunch, then the rest of the afternoon at leisure before dinner and overnight.
Overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge (LDBB)
After early breakfast, drive (with picnic lunch) towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On arrival descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day game drive inside the crater. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds, to name a few. Your Driver/Guide will amaze you with his skill at locating hidden animals. Enjoy a picnic box at the site beside the lake. Late afternoon ascend the crater and proceed to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge (LDBB)
After an early breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park for lunch. The park has an atmosphere of remoteness and has a large population of elephants, monkeys, hornbills, pelicans, and herons among others. Later head to the your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Overnight at Maramboi Tented Lodge (LDBB)
After breakfast, drive to Arusha for lunch at The River House. After lunch transfer to Arusha to Kilimanjaro International Airport. (OR drop off at Arusha Airport and take a fright onward extension to Zanzibar Island)
