Day by Day Overview
After breakfast you will be picked up in the morning at your lodge and head out to Tarangire National Park. Arrive in the early afternoon and enjoy a game drive before stopping for lunch. After lunch you will continue with your game viewing and enjoy views of the Tarangire River before making your way to your lodge for the evening.
Make your way to the Serengeti National Park, the most famous park in Tanzania. It is known for its vast open grasslands and its wildebeest migration. The name Serengeti means ‘endless plains’ which you will see much of. Dinner and overnight at your designed accommodation.
Enjoy a morning game drive through the park. This beautiful reserve holds a variety of animals species including lion and cheetah. An early afternoon drives allow you to explore the Serengeti koppies/hills where these predators often sit to observe their pray from above. After lunch you will proceed towards the Mara area located in the northern part of the Serengeti where we hope to meet the huge herds of the great migration. Dinner and overnight at your designed accommodation.
We have made our way to this part of the park in search of the migration herds and to witness their infamous river crossing scenes. This can take hours to unfold before the herd builds up the courage to make the crossing. After an eventful day, make your way back to the camp for dinner.
Another full day in this section of the reserve to allow for more time in case the wildebeest have not yet crossed. If they have you can explore the rest of the beautlful Kogatende and Mara regions. Dinner and overnight at your designed accommodation.
After breakfast you will continue exploring the park and enjoying the beautiful scenario from the Kogatende area, the Bologonja circuit and the Lobo area with its amazing rock formations. Later make your way to the Seronera area in the centre of the Serengeti. Dinner and overnight at your designed accommodation.
Dawn is a good time to watch the wildlife so you will get up early for a morning game drive around the Seronera area, equipped with your breakfast boxes for a breakfast on the go. In this region you will often see wildebeests and zebras in close proximity to lion, leopard and cheetah. After a picnic lunch you will continue your journey towards the Ngorongoro Crater. Once you have reached the crater rim, you will enjoy the spectacular views peering into the collapsed volcano from 600m above. Dinner and overnight at your designed accommodation.
Explore the crater and the surrounding conservation area, one of the most evocative landscapes in the world where we can admire the dormant volcano and the nature that surrounds it. In the park, it will be possible to see the big five however you should pay attention to the 30,000 other animals and huge variety of birds that can also be found here. Later make your way back to Arusha. Dinner and overnight at your designed accommodation.
