Experience the superb adventure of trekking gorillas in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, one of the most thrilling wildlife experiences on earth. In Bwindi there’s also the opportunity to do a fascinating community visit to see how the indigenous people live. After Bwindi head to Queen Elizabeth National Park for chimpanzee trekking at Kyambura Gorge and a boat ride along the famous Kazinga channel, looking out for hippos, buffalo, elephants and numerous birds along the way.

Arrival at Entebbe International Airport where you will have a meet and greet by our company representatives and transfer to Entebbe town for the night.

Early breakfast and pick up at 6:00am to transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest by road (9-10 hours drive). Have a lunch stop along the way and visit a cultural museum in Mbarara town.

This day is dedicated to gorilla tracking which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. Please bring with you a rain jacket, long pants, drinking water, lunch box, snacks, good comfortable hiking shoes/boots, sunscreen, a hat and insect repellent, for a great experience. The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy primates in the group you have been booked for. The tracking may take between 2 and 8 hours but it’s a well worth the effort. Tracking the rare mountain gorillas is perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth.
Optional: Time permitting, on return from the jungle you will go for a village walk/community visit for a great opportunity to see how the indigenous people live. This is a delightful moment to have in Bwindi as it gives you the opportunity learn and take time to appreciate the life of the local people.

Depart Bwindi after a relaxed breakfast on an interesting drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park with packed lunch. Arrive in Queen Elizabeth park via the Ishasha sector to search for wildlife including the tree climbing lions before continuing to check in.
Overnight: Simba Safari Camp (budget) or Ihamba Safari Lodge (moderate)

Wake up to an early breakfast then head to Kyambura Gorge for a chimpanzee trekking experience that starts at about 8:00 am lasting about 3-4 hours. A walk through this forest is very refreshing because of its bio diversity. This gorge is also referred to as the underground forest endowed with other unique primates like colobus monkeys among others. Return to the lodge to refresh and rest.
After lunch go for a boat ride along the famous Kazinga channel – an opportunity to see hippos, buffalo and elephants coming down to drink among others. The boat trip also gives visitors a chance to see a wide variety of bird species.

After your morning breakfast drive back to Entebbe (or Kampala), a 7-hour drive, via Kasese-Fort Portal road for a chance to see more of the countryside and the famous foot hills of the Mountains of the Moon with a lunch stopover along the way. Continue for drop off in Entebbe town for the night.

Today you will be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport for your flight home.
