This Uganda safari takes you to the primate destination of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to almost 50% of the world’s mountain gorilla, numbering about 459 individuals, for gorilla tracking in the company of an experienced ranger. It also includes 10 primate species, 250 butterfly species, 27 species of reptile, 351 bird species, 23 of which are endemic to Albertine Rift such as the mysterious green broad bill, Shelly's crimson wing and the white tailed blue fly catcher. In addition enjoy game viewing, with the chance to see the Big Five, a 2-3 hour boat/launch cruise along the 40 km Kazinga Channel for the chance to see aquatic mammals such as crocodile and hippo.

You will arrive at Entebbe international airport where our guide will meet you and welcome you in the pearl of Africa and then transfer you to your hotel for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Early in the morning, embark on a 389km journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park through Masaka-Mbarara road, with a stopover at the equator point in Kayabwe. Queen Elizabeth National Park, named after the Queen of England in 1954, is one of the most popular parks in Uganda located in the western part of Uganda lying between Lake George and Edward, with Kazinga channel crossing through its 700 sq mile land area. It boasts great diversity of habitats that include lakes, savannah grassland, forest and wetlands and is home to 618 bird species, 95 mammals including big game, 10 primate species. At Kayabwe you can have the equator water experiment experience, take photos and do some shopping. Afterwards we continue the journey with several stopovers en-route for food shopping at (Lukaya, Masaka and Mbarara town) arriving late evening in the park to check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, we embark on a 3-4 hour morning game drive in Kasenyi, exploring the park’s rolling savannah landscape dotted with countless wild game including, elephant, buffalo, lion, waterbuck, leopard, Uganda kob, warthog, and not forgetting the birds and primates. After this activity we drive back to the lodge for lunch after which we will gather at Mweya for a 2 hour thrilling boat cruise along the 40km Kazinga channel to view some of the largest concentration of hippo in the world. You will also have the chance to see crocodile, elephant and buffalo basking across the shores of the channel. Later we return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
After early breakfast, you and your guide will embark on a 3-4 hour journey towards Ishasha sector in search of tree climbing lion taking their mid morning rest in the branches of the trees. Afterwards you will head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for lunch, dinner and overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, head to the park head quarters with packed lunch and meet an experienced ranger guide for a briefing. At exactly 8 am we embark on an unforgettable trek through the jungle in the company of a ranger and in search of the great mountain ape, our closest relatives sharing more than 97 % of our DNA. Along the way we are likely to see many different primates like black and white monkey and L’Hoest monkey. After about an hour’s encounter with the mountain gorilla you transfer back to the park centre to receive your gorilla tracking certificate award and then head to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
Possibility of visiting the last remaining members of the endangered Batwa pygmy tribe living harmoniously with the great giants of the forest in Bwindi.
After early morning breakfast at 7 am, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi (place of many little birds) Africa’s second deepest lake, traversing through the Kigezi highlands referred to as the Switzerland of Africa, with stunning surroundings offering spectacular views of the 29 islands. Undertake activities like sightseeing and community walks as well as bird watching. You will have lunch at the resort and embark on a canoe/boat cruise on the lake to visit and interact with one of the 29 island communities like Punishment Island Akampande, home to unmarried pregnant girls. Return to the lodge for relaxation dinner and overnight.
Wake up at 6 am for an early breakfast and then head out on a 473km or 8-9 hour journey to Kampala through the impressive landscape of southwestern Uganda. Stop for a traditional lunch at Igongo Cultural Centre for typical African buffet and afterwards return to Kampala late in the evening.
