This safari takes in some of the very best wildlife destinations in northern Tanzania: Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara National Park. See plenty of wildlife and birds as well as the enjoy the chance to see the great wildebeest migration; wildebeest and other antelope crossing the Mara River in northern Serengeti. The best chance to see the migration crossing the river is from July to September.

Pick up from Arusha hotel at 8.00m for the 3-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. On arrival you will have a game drive inside this park and later drive to Jambo Lodge for dinner and overnight. The location of Tarangire National Park is 115 km from Arusha and covers an area of 2,800 sq km. Wild animals drink from the Tarangire River where the name Tarangire come from. The park’s has major attractions includes a large number of elephants, tree-climbing pythons and beautiful baobab trees as well as other wildlife such as lions, leopards and much more.
After waking up this morning you will have a full breakfast, pack your luggage in the safari jeep, then will start to do an en-route game drive to Serengeti, with your lunch inside the jeep. On the way you will be able to view the beautiful Rift Valley and Ngorongoro Crater, arriving at the Serengeti around 3 pm. Enjoy an evening game drive in central Serengeti where you will be able to see the sunset before dinner and overnight at Serengeti campsite inside Serengeti.
Major attractions of the Serengeti are its endless plains and great wildebeest migration – the movement of vast numbers of the Serengeti’s wildebeest, accompanied by large numbers of zebra, and smaller numbers of Grant’s gazelle, Thomson’s gazelle, eland and impala, with predators following them as they move from one area to another to find fresh grazing. Depending on the time of year, our driver guide will make sure you will able to see part of wildebeest migration.
Today you will wake up early in the morning and enjoy a full breakfast. Then you will start your game drive inside the Serengeti National Park for a full day, with our driver taking you to the key areas of the Serengeti, including following the wildebeest migration if possible. The great migration varies every year, the best chance of seeing it is from June to September, while the wildebeest calving is from January to March. From July to September our driver will take you to northern Serengeti where there’s a chance to see the wildebeest crossing the Mara River. A million and a half of these majestic animals travel throughout the year as they look for fresh grazing pasture and follow the rainfall for better water sources. After your full day’s game drive, head back to Serengeti campsite for dinner and overnight.
Today you will wake up early in the morning, have breakfast, and then start your next game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Afterwards you leave the Serengeti and head to Ngorongoro. Enjoy dinner and overnight at your accommodation.
You will wake up around 5.30 am for your breakfast, then descend to Ngorongoro crater floor where you will able to see the big five (including black rhino) as well as different types of birds and many other species of wildlife. Enjoy your lunch inside the crater while watching nature and high concentrations of flamingos. After the 6 to 7 hours game drive inside the crater floor, you will start the ascent passing through the campsite to pack your luggage ready for the next journey. Next you will have a walking tour inside Mto Wa Mbu village where you will experience how local people live, see banana plantations and taste local food. Afterwards drive back to Jambo View Lodge for dinner and overnight.
After your breakfast you will head to Lake Manyara for a full day game drive. Inside the park you might see climbing tree lions and flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake as well as many other animals. You will also visit a hot spring and visit a Maasai boma where you will see how they live and learn their culture and traditions. Later drive back to Arusha for dinner and overnight.
