Experience this outstanding natural event in Serengeti National Park, the endless annual rhythm that is maintained by a migrating herd of millions of wildebeest (or gnu) together with a population of great predators, lions and spotted hyenas on the frontline. There is no real beginning or end to a wildebeest’s journey as it's a cyclical event following the rains as the herds look for lush pastures. Stay in luxury mobile tented camps located in beautiful wilderness spots with spectacular views of the African bush.

Depart Arusha in the morning for your drive towards Lake Ndutu, located in the south eastern part of the Serengeti ecosystem. Since the large plains usually dry up during June/July many resident herds are heading back to Lake Ndutu. Large herds of wildebeests and zebras are still around Lake Ndutu. Dinner and overnight at your luxurious camp.
Accommodation: Ang’ata Camps
Activities: Game drive & migration tracking
Start your day early with coffee/tea served at your private veranda before departing on your early morning game drive. You will see nocturnal predators returning from hunting and animals waking up in the early morning light. After a hearty breakfast at your lodge, you proceed to Naabi Hill for a short walk at the Naabi Hill Kopjes before continuing further into the Serengeti National Park for a game drive. The Serengeti is the best known wildlife sanctuary in the world and boasts more species than any other place on earth. The name Serengeti comes from the Masai word “Siringet” referring to an endless plain. After enjoying game drives we return to your luxurious tented camp for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

A full day of game drives around Serengeti. Depending on the time of year and the migration of the herds the famous ‘Great Migration’ is in full swing around Southern and Central Serengeti and large herds of wildebeests and zebras can be observed. Though our main focus is migration you can also expect to see lions, elephants, giraffes, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes, maybe even crocodiles, and many birds and other species. Dinner and overnight at the same camp in Serengeti.

Another early morning game drive today. Leave early from your lodge with a packed breakfast which you will enjoy after game driving at the beautiful picnic site close to the Seronera Visitors Center in the heart of Serengeti. This nicely designed center offers some interesting wildlife displays as well as some information trails up and around a nearby kopje. Return to your camp for a late lunch served outside in the shade of acacia trees. In the afternoon you can rest and enjoy your nice camp. If you would like to join, some interesting nature walks around the camp are offered. Dinner and overnight at the same camp.
