Breakfast at 06h00 before your driver-guide will transfer you at 06h30 to Volcanoes National Park headquarters for registration and briefing for your second experience with a different endangered species – golden monkeys. It is normally an easy trek which may take between 45 minutes to 2 hours. Golden monkeys are striking primates with their bright orange-gold fur contrasting with the green rain-forests of the Virunga Mountains. Large and well-habituated groups mean the quality of sightings here is superb. There are two habituated groups of golden monkey, one group comprises around 80 members and has its home at the foot of Mt. Sabyinyo. Great photos and memories are to be had visiting these playful creatures, who seem very relaxed around humans. After this memorable experience, driver back to your hotel for lunch.

Later in the afternoon around 15h00 you will visit the famous Gorilla Guardians Village, a non-profit umbrella organization that aims at improving the lives of reformed poachers and communities around Rwanda’s volcanoes national park through provision of conservation incentives, supporting community enterprise development and livelihood based projects. Gorilla Guardians Village give you a rare chance to meet local people in their environment, with a taste of Rwandan culture and traditions. The community you visit will genuinely welcome you as a special guest while they proudly present to you aspects of their traditions and beliefs. This will truly be an experience of a lifetime. Drive back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
