Quench the thirst for primates on this Mgahinga National Park and Lake Bunyonyi safari in the western part of Uganda. Mgahinga is the only park in the country where tourists can see both the endangered mountain gorillas and the golden monkeys in a single visit hence a saying where "Gold meets Silver". The safari is tailored for travelers with restricted time to see primates and visit the fantastical Lake Bunyonyi. The safari starts and ends in Entebbe/Kampala in Uganda.
From USD 2,400 per person
On arrival at Entebbe international airport, meet with Kent Safaris tour guide before driving to your hotel in either Entebbe or Kampala where you’ll have your first night’s stay. We can have a city tour if you turn up during day or just stay relaxing as you wait for the safari road trip to start. Areas to visit are Ngamba Island which is the home of Orphanage Chimpanzee Sanctuary. If time consents our guests can also visit Entebbe Wildlife Education Center and Entebbe Botanical Gardens. These visits can be organized either on arrival or departure day.

After sun rise, Kent Safaris driver/guide will be prepared to brief you and pick you from the hotel as the safari road trip starts with the drive to Mgahinga National Park in the southwestern part of the country. After sunrise, we shall proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority senior ranger guides giving information on what to do and not do before being nominated to a group to trek with. The tour guide will then take you into the jungle to search for the gorillas. The gorilla population are about 80 but only one group is habituated and tracked by tourists. The Nyakagyezi family used to move Congo and Rwanda but now settled in Uganda so just be ready with your cameras to catch and cover those beautiful moments. After finding them, use the given one-hour for interaction and photography before getting back to the hotel.
