This Uganda safari is a great combination of trekking to see mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and chimpanzees in Kibale National Park together with seeing wildlife in Lake Mburo such as zebra, giraffe, hippo, buffalo, eland and the rare endemics of Lake Mburo, the impala. There's also a chance to interact with the local people, the cattle keepers, while activities include treks, swamp walk, game drives, boat cruise and equator visit.

Your guide will pick you up from Entebbe International Airport or your guesthouse and drive you to western Uganda. On your way stretch your legs at the Uganda Equator where you take photos then proceed to Lake Mburo and the lodge for lunch. Afterwards head out on a boat cruise. On the way back at sunset, enjoy a game drive back to the lodge.

Dinner and overnight: Rwakobo Rock Resort
Head out on an early morning game drive and search for zebras, giraffes and impalas among others. Afterwards drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, arriving in the afternoon when you can relax at the lodge. At sunset you’ll enjoy a traditional dance from the locals/community at the lodge.

Overnight: Gorilla Friends Resort
Wake up early morning to prepare for your gorilla trek; have your gear on, with your trousers, gloves, long-sleeved shirts, sunglasses, socks, hut, insect repellent, energy food and enough drinking water. Transfer from the hotel to the starting point for a briefing then proceed on the gorilla trek, which can take from 2 to 6 hours depending where the gorilla family are located. Once you find them, spend a memorable full hour with the mountain gorillas.

After breakfast, drive to Kibale National Park through Queen Elizabeth National Park on the road to Fort Portal. See the foothills of the Rwenzori, crater lakes of Uganda as well as a big rivers from the glaciers of Mountains of the Moon and Margarita Peak in the Rwenzori Range.

Overnight: Boulevard Excelsior Guest House
After breakfast, drive to Kibale National Park for your chimpanzee adventure. Have a briefing and then start trekking. You will be allowed to spend an hour with the chimpanzees when you find them, taking photos and enjoying the experience. Alongside your trekking, look out for birds and other primates. After trekking, do a simple drive to Bigodi for your lunch and then a community swamp walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary.

Overnight: Boulevard Excelsior Guest House
After breakfast, set off on the drive to Kampala or Entebbe, with lunch on the way.
