Day by Day Overview
Depart from Arusha after breakfast and drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Pass through Mto Wa Mbu market town, home to a melting pot of local cultures and a souvenir hunter’s paradise. Arrive at the park, a photographer’s dream, offering some of the best game viewing in the world including sightings of the famous tree-climbing lions. Bird-watchers will find the lake to be an absolute delight, with a huge variety of birds on display including large flocks of flamingo. Enjoy an afternoon in the park before heading to your lodge in the evening.
Overnight at Lake Manyara
After breakfast you will depart for Tarangire National Park, arriving in the late morning and enjoying a game drive as you make your way into the park. A host of animals can be expected to be seen before you stop for lunch in a beautiful shaded area. Later continue your game drive before making your way to the Ngorongoro Crater for the evening and a delicious dinner.
Overnight at Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast we will head to the famous Serengeti National Park, leaving the highlands behind as you descend into the heart of the Serengeti grassland plains stretching as far as the eye can see. In the center of the reserve, you will find the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park that is home to the Seronera River. The river provides a valuable water source to the area and supports the vast number of wildlife species that live in the reserve. Arrive in time for lunch before enjoying an afternoon game drive. In the evening you will make your way back to the camp for dinner.
Overnight at Serengeti National Park
Today you will enjoy a full day out in the reserve. Depart for a morning drive in search of the huge migration of wildebeest and zebra, an amazing natural spectacle that can be seen every year. Make your way into the herds and be surrounded by millions of animals for an experience like no other. Later you will enjoy a packed lunch and then continue your game drive in the afternoon before heading back to the Ngorongoro Crater for the night.
Overnight at Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast you will descend into the crater for a morning game drive in one of the most densely populated wildlife havens in Africa. The reserve is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhinos. Another plus is the large number of predators that roam the park. Later enjoy a picnic lunch and some more game viewing in the afternoon before your drive back to Arusha.
