Optional Activity

You might choose to do an amazing balloon ride – taking to the skies for the ultimate Maasai Mara wildlife adventure, soaring over herds of game to the inner reaches of the Mara. You’ll ascend in the early morning when the winds are calmest. Watch as the professional crew fills the balloon with hot air as slowly the big, colorful bag begins to bulge and take shape. After your incredible flight, it’s time to come back down to earth for breakfast. Then the pilot will present you with your balloon flight certificate and you’ll enjoy a game drive en route back to the camp. No flight of the imagination can match this airborne experience!

After an early breakfast you will have a morning game drive before leaving the park later. You will head to Lake Naivasha, arriving in the afternoon. You will have an ample time to relax or you can opt to do a boat ride on the lake.

Overnight: Lake Naivasha West Beach Camp
Meals & drinks: All meals & drinking water included (other drinks not included)

After breakfast you will be picked up by a driver and set off on the road to the Green Crater Lake.  Leave Naivasha, pass by huge greenhouses where roses and other flowers are grown for the export market. Arrive at the Green Crater Lake, which was formed by volcanic activity, and begin your morning game walk. The group will walk in a reserve where its possible to get up close to giraffe and many varieties of antelope – a great opportunity for photos. The guides will answer questions about the animals, birds, landscapes and point out the rocks formed due to the volcanic activity. You will later drive to Nairobi arriving in the evening then be driven to the airport/your hotel.

Meals & drinks: Breakfast & lunch (dinner and drinks not included)

Great vacation

Written by: Lynnet Golicz on 20 April 2021

We did a 5 day tour with Direct Kenya safaris and it was an exceptional experience. Our Contact, Nduso was always prompt and helpful. There are so many tour companies out there with different programs and prices, but after all, it all comes down to whether you'll have the good guides and DKS had just that.

We went to Lake Nakuru, Masai Mara and Lake Naivasha, Our guide was David and he knows his stuff and was professional, friendly and fun!

I highly recommend Direct Kenya safaris!

Epic safari

My Father and I did a 5 day camping safari to Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru, The organization, communication and service from the team at Direct Kenya safaris was incredible. Paul our driver/guide was accommodating with over 20 years of safari guiding, we saw the big five in just a day which has been my dad's priority. We will book with them again in the future when we go.
