Your Ugandan adventure begins! After breakfast, you have the option to take part in any or all of the following activities:
After an exciting day of sightseeing and activities, you’ll be transported back to your accommodation for dinner and a chance to relax and unwind.
After breakfast today, we’ll head out on a city tour of Jinja. Jinja is famous as the historic source of the Nile River, and is also know as the adrenaline capital of East Africa, offering a wide variety of water sports, as well as mountain biking, horse riding and quad biking. After checking out the town, we’ll head to the river for a ‘Source of the river Nile’ boat cruise along this impressive and beautiful water source. After lunch and refreshments, we will be heading to Itanda falls, known for its incredibly difficult rapids, challenging even for experienced kayakers. Here you can take pictures and marvel at the sheer power of these falls, but we don’t recommend kayaking unless you have a high level of experience. After another adventure-filled day, you’ll be dropped at your accommodation for dinner and a good night’s sleep.
Today after breakfast, we’ll head to Sipi Falls, a series of three falls in Eastern Uganda in the district of Kapchorwa, all of which are extremely beautiful. There are a series of hikes that can be done in this area, for those who love outdoor adventures. Tomorrow we will hike the Sipi Falls, so today, simply take it all in, and make sure to get lots of gorgeous photographs! After visiting the falls, lunch will be served at your lodge, followed by free time to relax, nap or read a book. In the late afternoon, enjoy sundowners to the backdrop of a beautiful African sunset. After sundowners, enjoy dinner and then head to bed.
Today be sure to eat a big breakfast, as we’ll be hiking all three of the falls! It’s demanding, but well worth it when you reach the top, and enjoy panoramic views of the beautiful surrounding areas. After the hikes, sit down to a well-deserved lunch, followed by a fascinating Arabic coffee tour. In the afternoon, enjoy another sundowners, followed by dinner at the lodge.
Today, after breakfast, we’ll travel back to Kampala for your trip home. We’ll stop off for lunch in Jinja along the way, giving you one more chance to experience the cuisine and atmosphere of this city. You’ll have the opportunity to check out both the old and the new railway bridges before leaving the city. We’ll also stop off in the Mabira Forest before dropping you at the airport.
