Day by Day Overview

You will be picked up early morning by our driver guide to embark on your drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for your gorilla tracking trip. This drive takes not less than 10 hours and takes you through the scenic Ankole villages. En-route there will be a stop at the Equator and Mbarara for lunch. Continue on to Bwindi, arriving in the evening.

Overnight: Engagi Lodge

After breakfast, your driver guide will take you to the park headquarters for a briefing and registration before you set off for your first Uganda gorilla trekking experience. The trek can be strenuous therefore you need to be physically fit for it and it can take from 1 to 8 hours. It is advisable to carry a picnic lunch and lots of drinking water with you. Once the gorillas are located you allowed to spend one hour with them before you return to your lodge.

A second opportunity for a gorilla trekking, this time with a different group of gorillas. Activities are the same as yesterday. If your gorilla trek ends early and you are still physically fit, why not go for a community walk visiting the local village.

After breakfast, drive back to Entebbe Airport to connect with your international flight out, or other onward arrangements. The drive is a long one of not less than 10 hours so you have to make sure your departure flight from Entebbe is after 18:00 hrs.  This marks the end of your Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari.
