A full day’s sheer pleasure in the Serengeti National Park, game driving in over 14,000 square kms to explore in our search for the best that nature has to offer. Head over to the rock kopjes where you have good chances of seeing some of the cat families. Cheetah and lion use these giant rock outcrops as observation posts. Camp at Seronera Campsite. Option of a balloon safari.
In the morning in Serengeti National Park we rise at dawn, taking a tip from the wildlife that uses this time to hunt. In the afternoon, we head to Ngorongoro Crater. There are 25,000 large mammals residing here. The elephants are mainly bulls, females stay out of the park due to it boasting the largest predator population in Africa while black rhino also make their home on the grassy plains. We continue on to our campsite on the rim of the crater at 2,300 m. It can be chilly!
Ngorongoro Crater is a World Heritage Site where we spend the maximum of six hours allowed game driving in the world’s largest caldera (collapsed volcano). There are about 30,000 resident animals here. Later in the afternoon, we return to Arusha.
