You’ll leave Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park. The journey will approximately be two hours, passing through the market town of Mto Wa Mbu along the way. This agricultural and fresh produce market is a melting pot of local cultures and a souvenir hunter’s paradise. After a brief stop at the countryside’s market, you’ll enter Lake Manyara National Park. The park is a photographer’s paradise with some of the best game viewing in the world. Start the day in the Ndutu location of the Serengeti/Ngorongoro Conservation Area, en route passing through the mist-shrouded rainforests where you might be lucky enough to glimpse cape buffalo, baboons, or even elephants and leopards, inside the dense undergrowth. It’s an almost one and a half drive to Ndutu, but you may pick to break up the adventure with one or both of these optional activities, talk to your safari expert to add them to your itinerary.
After a delicious lunch at the picnic area, it’s time to explore the Ndutu location. Witness Africa’s iconic savannah landscape and be amazed at the aid of the sheer number of animals that roam those grassy plains. See the giant herds of wildebeest transferring across the location. Head to your chosen accommodation at a campsite or lodge.
You will be up before dawn and enjoy seeing the sun rising over the savannah as carnivores, including cheetahs and lions, are on the move in the cooler heat, sufficient for them to hunt. Return to your accommodation for breakfast before taking a picnic lunch and heading to explore the greater Ndutu area in the afternoon. Explore along the shores of Lake Ndutu and Lake Masek, as well as the encircling land wherein many young wildebeest take their first steps. After your day-long exploration of Ndutu, you’ll overnight at a campsite or hotel.
After breakfast, you’ll leave for Ngorongoro Crater, often known as the ‘8th Wonder of the World’.
