Day by Day Overview
After breakfast, your driver will collect you from your hotel and begin the drive to Tarangire National Park. The name of the park originates from the Tarangire River that flows through the park, providing an essential water source during the dry season. The park is famous for its huge number of elephants, iconic baobab trees, and tree climbing pythons. Enjoy a daylong game drive with a picnic lunch beside the river, both offering excellent game viewing. Later you will head back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Overnight: Ngorongoro Inn | Meals: lunch & dinner
After an early breakfast, you will depart for the Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with its magnificent landscapes, offering some en-route game viewing. You will then reach the massive park and cast your eyes upon the endless plains that are home to millions of animals, including a million wildebeest that make up the herds of the greatest land migration on Earth. Later you will head to your lodge for the evening for some dinner.
Overnight: Tukaone Serengeti Camps | Meals: breakfast, lunch & dinner
After breakfast, head out for a morning game drive to explore more of the Serengeti and later you can enjoy an afternoon drive to the Ngorongoro Crater via Olduvai Gorge. Explore the gorge that was formed by the tectonic forces which created the Great Rift Valley millions of years ago. Then make your way to your lodge for the evening.
Overnight: Ngorongoro Inn | Meals: breakfast, lunch & dinner
After breakfast, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for half-day game drive surrounded by the massive rim walls. This is undoubtedly the best place to see black rhino in Tanzania and increases your chance of seeing the entire big-five on your trip. There are also many magnificent black-maned male lions and hundreds of flamingos that paint the landscape pink, offering some spectacular sightings. Later in the afternoon, you will drive back to Arusha, marking the end of your trip.
