Another day in the beautiful Masai Mara, Kenya’s crowning glory and the climax of every safari in Kenya. Its rolling grasslands and acacia savannah have been captured in the film ‘Out of Africa’ and the ‘Big Cat Diary’. It is a home to the big five – elephant, buffalo, rhino, lion and leopard – as well as cheetahs and plenty of other game. The Masai Mara is most famous for the spectacular annual migration of over a million wildebeest, zebra and gazelle. From the Serengeti in northern Tanzania, the migration crosses the Mara River in to Kenya’s Masai Mara in search of fresh feeding grounds. This happens between July and October. During this hundreds of animals are swept away by the first moving Mara River and killed by the furious African crocodiles. You can opt to have an early morning game drive and another in the afternoon, or another whole day game drive.
Breakfast at the camp, then later check out and drive to Nairobi through Narok town. You will arrive in Nairobi later in the evening for drop off at your hotel or airport.
