The Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda is home to the mountain gorilla, one of the rarest mammals on earth. Imagine yourself trekking through the mist as your guide navigates the dense forest in search of these beautiful creatures. The mountainous terrain helps the forest stay true to its name, ensuring the only way to see the great apes is on foot. If you are fortunate enough, find yourself sitting quietly on the jungle floor as you observe them in awe, knowing that few people have ever seen them like this. Only 14 habituated groups of mountain gorillas are open for the public to view. The park's incredible biodiversity lead to it being named a Unesco World Heritage Site and remains a sanctuary for various other primates such as the chimpanzee and colobus monkey which you could see along with an array of other wildlife.
