The day starts with a pick up from Kampala airport or your hotel. Your English speaking guide will brief you about your safari. The first activity is rhino tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola, 170 km outside Kampala, which is a 2.5 hour drive. Rhino tracking takes one hour after which you have a break for lunch, followed by a 2-hour journey to the top of Murchison Falls. The next phase is drive to the lodge , viewing game on the way before checking in and enjoying dinner later.
Today is action packed, kicking off with an early morning game drive at 6:o0 am with a packed breakfast, to catch the retreating nocturnal animals and the big cats before they hide in thickets. Enjoy lunch, either in the bush or back at the lodge, before the boat cruise which starts at 2:00 pm and lasts for two hours. On this you can see Uganda’s ‘big nine’: rhino, buffalo, elephant, lion, leopard, giraffe, hippo, River Nile and Lake Victoria. After the boat cruise, on the way back to the lodge a short game viewing drive is optional.
This is the day the safari ends. It starts with breakfast before we head out of the protected area. There is a lunch break on the way for one hour, viewing beautiful scenery in the countryside. After lunch will be driven to your hotel or the airport for onward arrangements.
