Get ready for an epic adventure, starting with a pick up from your hotel in Entebbe/Kampala, after a delicious breakfast. Along the way, you’ll have the chance to visit a craft making community as well as stop off at the Equator line for some awesome photos and for the chance to perform the Equator experiment. Later you will enjoy a scrumptious lunch in Mbarara Town before finally arriving at the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the late afternoon. Check in to your cozy lodge and enjoy a relaxing evening with a delicious dinner, in preparation for your exciting adventure in the morning.
Your day will start with an early breakfast, followed by a visit to the park headquarters where you’ll receive a briefing from the rangers, and be divided into groups of 8. You will then embark on the incredible gorilla trekking adventure for the chance to watch these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. A once in a lifetime experience that you won’t ever forget! The trek is challenging as you make your way through the dense jungle, sometimes muddy and sometimes steep terrain, but it is all part of the adventure. Once you finally meet the gorillas, you’ll have an entire hour to spend with them, taking photos and observing their way of life. Afterwards, you’ll return back to your lodge where you can unwind, or head out to visit the Batwa community for a cultural experience. Finally, enjoy a well earned dinner before the best sleep of your life.
It’s time to say goodbye to the home of the gorillas and head back to Kampala, but don’t be sad yet! You’ll start off your day with a delicious breakfast and the excitement of the adventure that still awaits you. As you journey through the winding roads and rolling hills with their terraced landscapes, be sure to take in the awe-inspiring views and lush vegetation all around you. Stop off for a tasty lunch in Mbarara and head to the Mbambire drum makers point, a must see for any visit to Uganda. You will then be driven back to Entebbe/Kampala, which concludes your 3-day Ugandan gorilla and cultural safari.
