Day by Day Overview

You will head to the airport in Entebbe for a flight to Kisoro. The flight takes one and a half hours, and it is scheduled for only morning hours. After landing, you’ll meet your guide from Safari Vacations and Travel Services, who will greet you before you drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You’ll check in at your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.

  • Dinner and overnight stay: Rushaga Gorilla Havens Lodge or Gorilla Leisure Lodge (Upgrade)
  • Meal Plan: Full Board

Today you will have your breakfast with your packed lunch ready, drive to the park headquarters for registration, and join other trackers in a briefing about the dos and don’ts while on your gorilla tracking adventure. You will trek through thick creepers and undergrowth with your ranger guides to find the gorillas, which can take you 30 minutes to three-quarters of the day. The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but accessible to tourists. It is an extraordinary feeling being with these beautiful yet endangered creatures. Once you find them, you will spend one hour with them. You’ll have your packed lunch in the forest before hiking back to the park offices, where you will be awarded a certificate as a souvenir after contributing to conserving these great apes. You’ll then meet your guide and head to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation and an overnight stay.

  • Dinner and overnight: Bunyonyi Overland Resort or Birdnest Resort(Upgrade)
  • Meal Plan: Full Board

On the last day, you will have breakfast and later check out. You’ll embark on a scenic journey back to Entebbe. You will have stopovers at the Uganda Equator for photographs and in one of the towns for lunch. You’ll then arrive in Entebbe, and your driver will drop you off either at the airport for your flight out or at the hotel. He’ll say goodbye, and this will mark the end of the safari.
