Day by Day Overview

Your safari guide will collect you at 06:00 from Arusha for the long journey to the Serengeti National Park (with packed lunch boxes). Along the journey, you will go through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you will have your packed lunch at a picnic area on the crater rim. Enjoy game drives en route to the Serengeti National Park where you overnight.

Activities: Pick up, travel and en route game drive
Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

The day will start with an early morning game drive after breakfast venturing further into the Serengeti National Park. Its name dervies from the Maasai language “Siringiti” meaning ‘endless plain’ while its huge size of 14,763 sq km is home to many animals including lion, elephant, giraffe, wldebeest, zebra, leopard, cheetah, warthog and hyena as well as many bird species including both migratory and non-migratory species. The game drive will take place in the park while heading to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where we camp on the rim of Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Activities: Game drive, travel and en route game drive
Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

The day starts with breakfast before descending down into the crater, a distance of 600 m to reach the floor. On descending and ascending the crater, you will be able to spot a variety species of animals. Most animals remain within the crater due to its high walls and this makes the perfect location to view every member of the ‘Big 5’ in a day. We will have a wonderful picnic lunch inside the crater. The unfilled caldera is also home to hyenas, hippo, zebra, wildebeest and an impressive variety of water birds. After you ascend the crater, the return journey to Arusha town will start.

Activities: Game drive in the crater, travel
Meal plan: Breakfast and Lunch
