Day by Day Overview
After breakfast in Moshi, you will be picked up by your tour guide and make your way to Tarangire National Park where you will be welcomed by the ancient baobab trees. Once in the park, a game drive and a late afternoon picnic lunch awaits. The Tarangire River attracts a lot of diverse animals and helps the park support a large concentration of elephants, which you are sure to see. In the late afternoon, make your way to your camp for the evening.
An early morning departure to the Ngorongoro Crater, which is not only the largest unbroken caldera in the world, but it is also one of the new 7 natural wonders of Africa. Descend over 600m into the crater to view wildlife for a half day safari tour. A year round water supply helps support a vast variety of animals providing you with ample game viewing opportunities. Visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, one of the main features of the crater, attracting a large number of flamingos and hippos.
Another early departure as you head to Lake Manyara National Park which houses a massive soda lake, covering 2/3’s of the park. Lake Manyara is also home to the unique tree-climbing lions, which we will search for. After your tour of the park, you will be taken back to Moshi for the evening.
