Day by Day Overview
Your private guide will meet you on arrival at Kigali Airport in their 4WD vehicle. Leaving the lively capital, you drive north-west through lush hills and bustling market towns for approximately 4 hours to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, home to half of the population of mountain gorillas.
After an early breakfast transfer to Ruhija Sector. On arrival attend the briefing by a ranger guide, before entering the gorilla sanctuary for your adventure. The beauty of this rain forest is spectacular: dramatic steeply forested and dense landscape, criss-crossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to visitors. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle and endangered giants is an awesome, exciting experience to be long savoured. Many find it to be a rare and moving opportunity.
After an early morning breakfast, we set off on the journey back to Kigali. On arrival in Kigali, we will visit the Kigali Genocide Museum and later transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
