15 Days Discover Uganda Africa
Arrive at Entebbe Airport where your guide will be waiting for you to transfer you to your hotel.
Today we transfer to Murchison Falls National Park, where you visit the top of the Falls if time allows. On our way we visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where you can see the white rhino. Murchison Falls is one of the most beautiful national parks of Uganda where the Nile River is forced through a narrow gorge, falling 60 m over the spectacular Murchison Falls.
Early morning game drive in this beautiful national park. Expect to see elephants, giraffes, lions, hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes and maybe leopards. Afternoon boat ride on the Victoria Nile up to the bottom of the Falls. The boat is the perfect platform to see and photograph many different bird species.
The options this morning are an early morning game drive, boat trip on the Nile into Lake Albert or a visit to Budongo Forest for a jungle walk. In the afternoon we drive to Fort Portal.
After breakfast spend a day in Fort Portal, a beautiful town to relax in after a long drive. You can choose to do a few activities in the afternoon such as a tea tour, caves and waterfall or Rwenzori mountain hike. Later transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.
Chimpanzee tracking in the morning or in the afternoon. For people interested in primates and birds and willing to make another walk we can make a community walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary as well. It is also possible to visit the local people or the crater lakes.
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park today, stopping at the equator on the way. Game drive in the afternoon in Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of the best places in Uganda to see lions as well as elephants, many hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes and maybe leopards.
Enjoy a game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park in the morning. In the afternoon take a boat trip on the Kazinga Channel, one of the highlights of Uganda, home to the highest concentration of hippos in the world.
After breakfast we drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park to the Ishasha sector in the south. Here enjoy a game drive in the afternoon in search of the tree climbing lions. In Ishasha there are four prides of lions that climb the trees daily, unique in the world! The other attraction of Ishasha are the topis, not found anywhere else in this national park.
Today we drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, the driving time depending on which area in Bwindi we’ll be staying in. The journey passes by interesting villages and breathtaking views of the mountains. Bwindi Impenetrable is a unique jungle, with many primate species. Bwindi is one of two places in the world where you can find mountain gorillas!
oday is the day for the amazing experience of gorilla tracking! Early morning departure with your ranger to search for one of the world’s most interesting and endangered animals, the mountain Gorilla. Once you find them, you will spend one hour with one of our closest relatives – an unforgettable experience.
Optional activities for today include a nature walk through the national park, a primate or bird watching walk, or a visit to see the local people or pygmies. It is also possible to do a second gorilla tracking on this day. Later on we head off to Lake Bunyonyi, the deepest and most beautiful lake in Uganda, where we sleep on one of the beautiful islands.
There is a choice of optional activities today such as a nature walk, birding walk, canoeing, swimming or visiting the local community.
After breakfast we drive to Lake Mburo National Park. Experience a game drive or boat trip on the lake in the afternoon while in the evening we take a night game drive with a high chance of seeing leopards. Lake Mburo is one of two national parks with zebras and the only national park with impalas in Uganda. There are no elephants and lions, so walking safaris are possible.
Game drive or game walk in the morning. Then return to Entebbe, perhaps stopping at the Equator for photos. Transfer to the airport for your departure.
