This safari will give you the best experience of Uganda's remarkable wildlife diversity ranging from the big five to plenty of other wildlife that is perfectly distributed across various protected areas within the country. Uganda is gifted by a range of habitats and ecosystems, all of which act as home to a plethora of wildlife species. These species are a representative paradigm of the biodiversity of the country that is punctuated by an estimated 18,783 species of fauna and flora. The country is home to over 5,000 bird species, which is 50% of Africa's bird richness. With a diversity of ecosystems, the country hosts over 600 fish species, 345 mammals, 1091 plant species, 7 of Africa's 18 plant kingdoms, 20 primate species (with the highest concentration of mountain gorillas and chimpanzees) as well as reptiles, amphibians etc. This makes it a tourist destination of unmatchable splendor, encompassing the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains, wide savannahs, crater lakes, volcanoes, dense rainforests, RAMSAR sites, long rivers (like the Nile) and the immense Lake Victoria.

Airport pick up by our experienced professional safari driver/ guide who will brief you about this adventurous safari as you set off on a drive to Kidepo Valley National Park. With a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for your first big 5 experience where you will have an hour of rhino tracking. This is done in order to cut the long journey drive to Kidepo Valley National Park. You will therefore spend your first night of the safari in Gulu town.
Continue the drive to Kidepo Valley National Park, which is a 3-5 hour drive through the rolling Karamoja hills, homesteads and many other fascinating and scenic views of different attractions. Upon park arrival, check into your lodge, have lunch and an evening game drive later in the day.
After breakfast on the 3rd day, you will head out for the full day game viewing in the plains of Kidepo Valley National Park where you will full explore the largest part of the park including the Narus valley. Be sure to encounter as many animals as possible. Lunch will be enjoyed as picnic lunch and later in the evening, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight rest.
Today is a full day’s drive to Murchison Falls National Park thus lunch will be enjoyed en route and upon arrival, you will check in your lodge, have dinner and overnight.
Wake up early in the morning for breakfast at your lodge then meet your safari driver for an early morning game drive in the plains of Murchison Falls National Park, the Murchison waterfalls and many animals such as lions, leopards, buffaloes, African elephants, warthogs, zebras, bush pigs and birds. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch and return for an afternoon boat cruise at the Jet Paraa taking you upstream to the bottom of the most powerful waterfall.
Full day’s drive from Murchison Falls to Kibale Forest National Park, home to over 13 primate species. Lunch will be enjoyed en route along the way and upon arrival, you will check in your lodge for a relaxed dinner and overnight rest.
You will be briefed by experienced rangers then who will lead you in search for chimpanzees that have been habituated and are used to humans. When you find them you will be awarded one hour in their company before proceeding. After the experience you will exit the forest and return to your lodge for lunch. Afterwards you will return to the jungle for an afternoon guided nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, one of the best birding spots in Uganda, where you will encounter plenty of bird species.
Check out of the lodge and meet your driver for a transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. There is an optional tour to Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru Caves as you head to Queen Elizabeth. Upon arrival, check in your lodge for lunch and spend your afternoon on a game drive in Kasenyi plains, one of the best sector in Queen Elizabeth national park.
Have breakfast then head to the park for an early morning game drive through the park’s savannah plains, watch many animals such as waterbucks, kobs, elephants, lions, warthogs and various bird species such as herons and cattle egrets. Then return to your lodge for lunch. After lunch go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel and enjoy watching many birds such as malachite kingfishers, shoe bills and animals such as schools of hippos, crocodiles, elephants and buffaloes .
You will wake up early for breakfast followed by hotel check out with a packed lunch box. Meet your driver to be driven to the Ishasha sector for a brief game drive amidst tree climbing lions. After the game drive, enjoy your picnic lunch and exit Queen Elizabeth National Park and proceed with your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park found in the south western region of Uganda. Expect to arrive late in the evening, check into your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.
You will be assigned a gorilla family to trek then head for a 2 -8 hours hike through the forests with a professional ranger who knows the best place to locate the gorillas. When you find a family, you are allowed to stay in their presence for one hour and watch them picking fruits and leaves, looking over their kids and take pictures (as long as your flash is off). After having lunch while in the forest, then visit the Ruhija Batwa community and engage in their day to day lives.
Check out and meet your driver for a transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, the smallest savanna park in Uganda, located closer to Kampala Capital City. Lunch will be enjoyed en route and upon arrival, check in your lodge for dinner and have an overnight sleep.
Have breakfast and head to the park for a game drive in the savannah plains of the park. Get a glimpse of the five lakes found in the park and spot animals such as antelopes, hyenas, zebras, buffaloes, hippos, topis and many more. After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch and then an afternoon boat cruise. On the boat ride you will enjoy the cool breeze of the lake and spot animals like hippos, crocodiles, elands, zebras and birds like shoe bill, fish eagles and many more.
Enjoy your early breakfast and proceed to Mburo for a morning drive with the opportunity to encounter zebras, giraffes, eland, topi, buffaloes among others. Take the trail to the top of the hills and see Lake Mburo and nine of the twelve lakes surrounding Lake Mburo NP. Thereafter, return to the accommodation , checkout and then hit the road to Entebbe airport for your flight or hotel in Kampala.
