You arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, meet our team, will be given a safari briefing of and set off on the journey to Tarangire National Park, the surprise package on the northern circuit. Often overshadowed by the Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire has immense concentrations of game in the peak months and a fraction of the visitors that go to any of the other northern parks. The game viewing here from July through to October is superb and the atmosphere and habitat is completely different from the other parks. The real prizes in the park are dwarf mongoose, oryx and generuk, although viewings are very rare. If you visit the park during the dry season, you will witness an unforgettable natural wonder as you can observe wonderful creatures such as lion, leopard, cheetah, giraffe, buffalo, wildebeest and zebra as well as various types of antelopes and gazelles and with a little luck, you can also spot a python. Tarangire is also one of Tanzania’s finest birding destinations.

After an early breakfast, depart towards the most famous national park in the world, the Serengeti National Par . The driving itself, although long, is spectacular. This will be an unforgettable moment for anyone seeing it for the first time. As you progress well into the Serengeti, you will see why the name means, in local language, “endless plains”. The park has 6,900 sq. mile (18,000 sq. km) and for most of it, the plains will stretch to the horizon defying your senses and perception of distances. It is the home of the Great Migration and to 2 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras and all kinds of antelopes. As for Big Cats and large predators, it’s the place of choice to look out for lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, with many television scenes like the famous river crossings having been filmed in this park.

After breakfast, you drive to the northern part of the Serengeti for a game drive along the Mara River. Depending on rainfall, the spectacular crossings of the Mara River can begin as early as July or as late as August. The wildebeest and zebras must survive the Nile crocodiles and fast-flowing water before facing the lions waiting on the other side. This time of the year game viewing is sensational, impressive and dramatic.

Another day of morning and afternoon game drives in the North Serengeti along the Mara River. Dust exploding, lions stalking a moveable feast, gigantic crocodiles and fast flowing wild rivers await the herds as they head north. The river crossing of thousands of wildebeest and zebra is absolutely one of the most breathtaking natural wonders in Africa.
Hot Air Balloon Ride Option: Be one of only a few fortunate people to glide in a hot air balloon over the Serengeti Plains (available at supplementary cost by pre-arrangement). Floating silently above the awakening bush, while spotting wildlife and enjoying the amazing scenery of Africa, across rivers and over numerous small villages

Rise up early for a morning game drive along the Mara River. It is truly an amazing experience to see all those hoofed mammals in search of water and greener pastures, followed by iconic predators. A journey full of danger where only the strongest survive. You may also see hippos, lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, warthogs and if you are lucky the endangered black rhino, later afternoon proceed with game viewing en route to central Serengeti.

On this day we suggest a very early wake up in order to do an early morning game drive (when the animals are more active) and see one of the best sunrises you’ll ever witness. It’s really one of the most beautiful experiences to have. After the game drive, we return to the camp for a rewarding brunch and then we’ll start a drive to Ngorongoro Crater while enjoying game viewing along the road.
Accommodation: Kudu Safari Lodge – FB
We will start the day very early with a transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and descend into the crater floor for an incredible morning of wildlife in one of the most stunning places on EarthNgorongoro Crater is considered one the wonders of the natural world. The crater spreads for 102 sq miles and has 2,000 ft high walls, making it virtually a ‘Noah’s Ark’, home to almost every species of wildlife that is indigenous to East Africa. It’s one of the very rare locations in the whole continent where you can witness the black rhino. The crater has a river, several swamps, a soda lake with a great concentration of flamingos, a forest and open plains. It’s also famous for its elephants which are the largest in the world with huge tusks.
Accommodation: Kudu Safari Lodge – FB
Today it’s time to interact with the Bushmen, the Hadzabe Tribe, who sleep in groups hunting with bow and arrows and gathering roots, tubers and wild fruits very much like humankind lived within the Stone Age. We’ll find out how they still survive and the way they adapt to their harsh environment and therefore the challenges they face to continue this nomadic existence. The Datoga tribe are blacksmiths, a trade developed over centuries and still practiced in very much an equivalent way today. They produce the arrow heads for the Hadzabe and brass trinkets, a number of which can be purchasable by the maker himself.

Pickup from your hotel at 8am and start a beautiful journey across the Great Rift Valley for a full day game drive. Although small in dimension (205 sq miles), the park has breathtaking scenery and is famous for its lush acacia forest, giant figs and mahogany trees, as well as to a growing population of baboons and blue monkeys. Permanent residents of this park also include giraffes, elephants, impalas and a huge amount of buffaloes. The lake is also home to a large number of hippos. The landscapes of Lake Manyara are something that cannot be described with words, and the game drives along the lake provide stunning photo opportunities of giraffes and buffaloes in the foreground and the lake in the background.
Masai Cultural Experience: You will visit one of the Maasai boma in Mto wa Mbu area where ou will get a chance to interact with the Maasai people, singing with them, learning their history, life style and daily economic activities. Late in the afternoon transfer to Arusha for overnight.

Driving from Moshi, you pass beautiful plantations of bananas, yams, potatoes and coffee, on route to Kinumakori Waterfall. Kinumakori Waterfall in Marangu is not the highest, but is a beautiful walk that enables you to see the waterfall both from the bottom and the top. At the waterfalls, you can relax amongst tranquil nature and swim in the cool waters. The waterfall is located near Marangu village, which is a typical village of the Chagga people, at 1800 m above sea level. At the village, visit the Chagga cultural center. Also, we will visit caves where the Chagga people hid during the war. In the village, you will see the traditional Chagga houses and visit the family of a coffee farmer. Together with a guide, he will explain to you, stage by stage, on how to prepare coffee – from picking ripe coffee berries to the final cup of delicious hot coffee. Late afternoon drive back to Arusha for overnight.
