Tanzania’s Mkomazi National Park is framed by the green slopes of the spectacular Usambara and Pare mountain ranges. A huge drive-in sanctuary offers a chance to get close to the endangered black rhino, which is absent or very rarely seen in most other Tanzanian parks. Embark on guided chimpanzee trekking excursions led by experienced park rangers, who will guide you through the forest as you search for the chimpanzees. Witness their social interactions, observe their behavior, and better understand their complex lives. A visit to Gombe is an experience that will touch your heart and ignite a sense of awe and wonder. Come and join us on a Serengeti migration safari in the Kogatende area; experience over 1 million wildebeests and other herbivores cross the Mara River infested with crocodiles, crossing from the Serengeti to the Masai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya. The best months for this safari are July, August & September.

Day by Day Overview
Meet and greet at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our driver will be waiting for you at the arrival hall, you will recognize him by a sign banner bearing your lead traveler’s name or your own name if you are traveling alone. After arrival formalities, drive to Keys Hotel in Moshi town for your overnight stay.
Overnight at Keys Hotel, Moshi
Between 7:00 am to 8:00 am, pick up in Moshi town and drive to Mkomazi National Park with a picnic lunch box for a day game drive. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the park. You will have enough time to look for cats, hippos, elephants, zebra, buffalo, giraffes, baboons, blue and vervet monkeys, warthog, and more. About 350 species of birds have been recorded. Afternoon break for picnic lunch in the park. You will also visit Mkomazi Rhino Sanctuary, more details will be provided by your experienced driver guide, and later in the evening drive back to your hotel in Moshi town.
Overnight at Keys Hotel, Moshi
Shared schedule flight to Kigoma. On arrival meet and greet and transfer to Kigoma Hill Top Hotel. Afternoon at leisure or you can do a sightseeing tour of Kigoma and Ujiji Town.
Dinner and overnight at Kigoma Hill Top Hotel
After breakfast, depart for the Gombe Stream by boat along Lake Tanganyika. Lunch at the lodge if time permits you can proceed with chimpanzee tracking.
Dinner and overnight at the Gombe Forest Lodge
After breakfast, experience memorable chimpanzee tracking. If time permits climb to Kakombe Waterfalls in Gombe Stream National Park.
Meals and overnight stay at the Gombe Forest Lodge
After breakfast, transfer by boat and vehicle transfer to Kigoma airport with a picnic lunch for a scheduled flight to Arusha Airstrip. Upon arrival at Arusha Airstrip, our driver will meet you there and transfer you to the Mount Meru Hotel.
Overnight at Mount Meru Hotel
Pick up from Mount Meru Hotel in the morning, drive to Arusha airport for a morning flight to Serengeti National Park to Kogatende Airstrip. On the way to the camp, you go on your first game drive around Serengeti. Reach Serengeti Savannah camp just before the sun sets over the vast Serengeti Plains.

After breakfast, carry your packed lunch and leave for a full-day game drive in the endless plains of the Serengeti National Park. The plains area is the largest part of the Serengeti – Masai Mara Ecosystem that stretches into Kenya and is the stage for the annual wildebeest migration that sees millions of wildebeests, zebras and gazelles trek thousands of kilometers in search of pasture and water. Serengeti is also the home to some amazing numbers of wild animals and birdlife.
Dinner & overnight at Serengeti Savannah Camps
Wake up early for a sunrise game drive in the Serengeti, at dawn if you wish. This should be discussed with your safari driver guide the previous night. After the early morning game drive, you will have breakfast at the lodge/camp, then leave with a packed lunch and spend the whole day in the endless plains of the Serengeti National Park.
Dinner & overnight at Serengeti Savannah Camps
You will have an early morning game drive and then fly from Kogatende to Arusha. Arrive in Arusha late afternoon with a drop-off at Mount Meru Hotel or drive directly to the airport for your onward flight.
