Our Beliefs

Brave Africa offers a unique adventure safari experience focused on our guests and getting the most out of Botswana.

• We believe everyone deserves to go on safari, no matter your hesitations, your nationality, how you identify, or how much money you have in the bank.
• We believe that time is our guests’ most precious commodity and that they come to Botswana for one reason: to experience incredible wildlife that they cannot experience back home. Our focus, therefore, is expert and ethical guiding on all-day game drives to maximize their opportunities to experience something unforgettable.
• We believe that a mobile tented safari does not have to look or feel budget. Our camp is thoughtfully and purposefully designed to provide lodge-like comfort while eliminating unnecessary luxuries to keep the experience affordable.
• We believe that Botswanan people matter. It is our responsibility to invest back into and uplift the local community by keeping ownership in Botswana and hiring locals.
• We believe that the passion, knowledge, and joy of our staff is critical to a memorable safari experience that guests want to brag about.
• We believe in giving back and in conserving Botswana’s beautiful landscapes and wildlife for generations to come, which is why $5 per day per guest is donated to conservation efforts.

Our Camp

Brave Africa is an intimate, mobile-tented camp with a current maximum capacity of twelve (12) beds.  Our large, spacious tents feature full mattress beds and en-suite bathrooms consisting of flushing toilets, washbasins, and a refreshing bucket shower (filled and available on-demand). It is a comfortable and luxurious camp experience that allows guests to be fully immersed in the sights, sounds, and feel of the African bush while still feeling well cared for. Within our camp, we also have a main guest relaxation area, guest seating, bar, dining area, and a campfire.

Safari Destinations

Savuti

Savuti is located in the enchanting Chobe National Park—a big game area famous for its predators, especially large prides of lions that can take down elephants. A remote and wild corner, Savuti has a desert-like landscape with sweeping plains, the Gubatsa Hills, and incredible wildlife including the elusive Klipspringer antelope along with cheetah, leopard, elephants, buffalo, and more.

Moremi Game Reserve

The Moremi Game Reserve is an incredible destination known for having varied habitat and exceptional flora and fauna. Guests will enjoy the mix of forests, seasonal floodplains, open savannah, and permanent lagoons. It’s rich in wildlife, including elephant, buffalo, hyena, hippo, wildebeest, kudu, giraffe, lion, leopard, and cheetah. It’s even home to the rare Sitatunga antelope.

Khwai

Khwai is located on the edges of Moremi on the other side of the Khwai River, and is most well-known for its abundant population of wild dogs. It’s an incredibly scenic area with sweeping grasslands, forests, flooded pans, and a hub for wildlife viewing with healthy populations of elephants, zebra, giraffe, waterbuck, impala, leopard, lion, cheetah, and more.
