King Dawit Tours Ethiopia is a well-established and pioneering tour and travel company based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Started in 2009, it’s run by tourism expert Mr. Dawit Solomon who has many years of experience in the Ethiopian tourism industry. King Dawit Tours offers Danakil Depression tours to the active volcano site Erta ale; historic route trips to Lalibela, Axum and Gondar; and the Omo Valley Cultural Tours to Hamer, Karo, Surma and Mursi peoples.

King Dawit Tours Ethiopia is a privately owned national tour operator. The name ‘King Dawit’ refers to Dawit I, who was was the younger son of Newaya Krestos, a member of the Solomon dynasty and King of Kings (1382 – 1413) of Ethiopia.
Located in Addis Ababa, our mission is to become the principal tour operator in Ethiopia’s tourism industry based on our core values of customer oriented service, trustworthiness, innovation, flexibility, accessibility and eco-tourism. We work with the local communities to ensure the existence of sustainable environment, social, cultural values and mutual share of economical benefits and to contribute to poverty reduction by generating alternative income and employment opportunities for the communities at grass root level.
