Day free at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel. (B)(L)(D)

Bisected by the meandering Pench River, the park supports a rich variety of wildlife including tiger, leopard, wild dog, sambar and chital deer and brilliant birdlife. The park’s open habitat not only lends itself to wildlife viewing, but it also offers striking views of the area’s sheer beauty. (B)(L)(D)

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Kanha National Park, the largest national park in Central India and a tiger reserve. The park has a significant population of Royal Bengal tiger, leopards, the sloth bear, barasingha and Indian wild dog. The lush sal and bamboo forests, grassy meadows and ravines of Kanha provided inspiration to Rudyard Kipling for his famous novel Jungle Book. Upon arrival proceed for check-in at the hotel for an overnight stay. (B)(L)(D)

Embark on morning and afternoon jeep safaris into Kanha National Park – the star success story of the conservation effort Project Tiger launched in 1973. After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Bandhavgarh National Park, one of the popular national parks in India located in the Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh. The park derives its name from the most prominent hillock of the area, which is said to be given by Hindu Lord Rama to his brother Lakshmana to keep a watch on Lanka (Sri Lanka). Hence the name Bandhavgarh (Sanskrit: Brother’s Fort). This park has a large biodiversity and the density of the tiger population here is one of the highest known in India. It also has a large breeding population of leopards and various species of deer. It was in this region that Maharaja Martand Singh of Rewa captured the first white tiger in 1951, which is now stuffed and on display in the palace of the Maharajas of Rewa. Upon arrival proceed for check-in at the hotel for your overnight stay. (B)(L)(D)
