Day by Day Overview

You will be greeted by our representative at the airport and taken to your hotel for the evening.

Overnight at Eka Hotel

After breakfast we will drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve. The park is home to the greatest concentration of large mammals and is widely recognized as Africa’s top wildlife reserve. The park is the northern extension of the vast Serengeti-Mara ecosystem, famous for its annual migration of wildebeest. Transfer to your lodge with an en-route game drive before arriving and enjoying some lunch. Later in the evening enjoy another game drive in this spectacular place with its vast plains stretching past the horizon.

Overnight at Mara Leisure Camp: breakfast, lunch & dinner

A full day in the park allows for some extensive exploring in search of its spectacular wildlife. In addition to the numerous mammal species, the park is home to over 450 bird species, 57 of which are birds of prey. This allows for some amazing bid watching. Depending on the time of year you come, you can see the great wildebeest migration. Optional activities today are a balloon safari to see the reserve from the air and a Maasai village visit for a cultural experience.

Overnight at Mara Leisure Camp: breakfast, lunch & dinner

After breakfast you will drive to Lake Naivasha which is the first of the Great Rift Valley lakes, located at the foot of Mount Longonot. After lunch at the camp, take an afternoon boat ride for a chance to identify the many different birds in the area.

Overnight at Naivasha Sopa Lodge: breakfast, lunch & dinner

After breakfast, drive via Nairobi with a packed picnic lunch to Amboseli National Park. The Park is famous for its big game and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro. It contains areas of dry and dusty landscapes due to the volcanic ash that came out of Mount Kilimanjaro when it last erupted. In spite of the dry appearance, there is a continuous supply of water from the melting snow on the mountains peak that is filtered through the volcanic rocks. The water flows underground, creating lush green areas and coming to the surface at two springs in the park.

Overnight at Kibo Safari Camp: breakfast, lunch & dinner

Enjoy a full day in the park on a morning and afternoon game drive searching for the wildlife you have not yet seen. Look for the big and small cats in the reserve including leopard, lion and caracal. Visitors mainly come to watch the huge herds of elephants and the bulls with some of the largest tusks in all of Kenya.

Overnight at Kibo Safari Camp: breakfast, lunch & dinner

Depart for a drive via the Chyulu Hills to the second largest park, Tsavo West National Park which is famous for its notorious man-eating lions of 1898. The lions preyed on the railway workers who were building the great Uganda Railway. Later you will go for an evening game drive in the park, offering beautiful views of a variety of landscapes ranging from mountains, forests, lakes and wooded grasslands. An excellent park for visitors who enjoy walking to enjoy a guided bush walk along the Chaimu volcanic Lava. If time allows, make your way to the rhino sanctuary for the opportunity to see these endangered animals.

Overnight at Voi Wildlife Lodge: breakfast, lunch & dinner

After a hearty breakfast, depart for the nearby Tsavo East National Park. Arrival for lunch followed by an early evening game drive and return to the lodge after sunset. Tsavo’s abundant wildlife will always excite you and offers excellent game viewing. Watch the elephants wallow in the clear waters of the palm-shaded Galana River for one of the most evocative images in Africa.
