Day by Day Overview
Your adventure begins as I and the driver pick you up from your hotel or Ivato Airport at your convenience. Buckle up for a scenic 4-hour drive along National Highway N°7, where you’ll witness the stunning landscapes of Madagascar. Our first stop will be at Ambatolampy village, where you’ll visit a local factory specializing in aluminum pots, a unique glimpse into local craftsmanship.

We’ll explore the charming town of Antsirabe via a traditional Pouss-Pouss (rickshaw), visiting local gems like the precious stone shops and a Zebu horn factory, as well as checking out some miniature crafts. By midday, we’ll arrive in Ambositra village for lunch and a visit to the famous woodcraft market that puts this town on the map. As the sun sets, prepare for a thrilling night walk organized by a local guide at 18:00 pm, where you’ll have the chance to spot endemic reptiles and the adorable mouse lemurs.

At 7:30 am, gear up for a guided 3.5-hour hike in Ranomafana National Park, a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts. Here, you’ll encounter a rich variety of fauna and flora, including the elusive grey bamboo lemur. After your adventure, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (luxury options available). By 14:30 pm, we’ll hit the road to Fianarantsoa city, arriving at your hotel around 16:00 pm.

Start your day at 7:30 am with a scenic drive around Fianarantsoa City, stopping at viewpoints and a local winery. At 9:00 am, we’ll visit the Antemoro Paper factory, where you can see how this unique handmade paper is crafted from tree bark. By 11:30 am, we’ll explore the community-managed Anja Park, home to a family of ring-tailed lemurs living freely in their natural habitat—perfect for photography! After lunch at a local restaurant, we’ll continue our journey to Ranohira village, where you’ll spot the sun set at Isalo Windows and the night.

Get ready for an early start at 7:00 am as we embark on a 3-hour hike in Isalo National Park, a stunning landscape of canyons and natural pools. After a well-deserved rest and lunch at a local restaurant, we’ll drive to Toliara city, a 4-hour journey where you can visit the craft market and city center. Then, we’ll head to Ifaty beach for some relaxation or sea activities. If you’re up for it, we can switch the destination to Anakao village for its pristine white sand beaches and activities like snorkeling, diving, fishing, and sailing.

This day is all yours! Depending on your flight schedule, we’ll leave the hotel early for a 1-hour drive to Toliara Airport. If your flight is in the afternoon, you’ll have some extra time to soak up the sun on the beach. If your home flight is at night, we can arrange a visit to the nearby crocodile farm or a quick tour of the city center if time permits. Finally, we’ll drop you off at the airport for your check-in.
