It is also one of the best places to spot critically endangered animals like black rhinos, golden cats and wild hunting dogs.

Day by Day Overview
Pick up from Moshi/Arusha and drive to Lake Manyara National Park, which takes about 3hours. After having a picnic lunch in Manyara, you start a late afternoon game drive, which is the best time to view animals in this park. When you approach it from the east, the Rift Valley escarpment looms on the horizon forming an impressive backdrop to the lake. In the tall trees of the groundwater forest, monkeys leap from branch to branch, and on the escarpment, elephants stand in the shade. Overnight at St. Catherine Monastery.

After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive inside the crater. This is the best place in Tanzania to see black rhinos as well as lions which include the magnificent black-maned males. There are lots of colorful flamingoes and a variety of water birds. Other game that you can see include leopard, cheetah, hyena, other members of the antelope family, and small mammals. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Wild Camp.

Head out after breakfast for the drive to Serengeti National Park. The word “Serengeti” is derived from the Maasai language meaning “endless plain”. En route to Serengeti, you can opt to visit a Maasai village, a perfect place to explore the Maasai culture and even participate in some cultural activities. Later on, enjoy a game drive on the way to your camp. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Wildebeest Camp.

After breakfast, venture into the Serengeti’s wilderness corners for a full day of game viewing in the park. With a picnic lunch beside you, explore this world heritage site, where the earth’s largest concentration of plain game still roams free! In the afternoon go to Ikoma Wild Camp for a short walking safari with a magical sundowner. Later on, return to camp for rest, dinner, and overnight.

Enjoy a well-set bush breakfast then proceed for full day of game drives. In the evening drive to Ikoma Wild Camp, for night game drives. Dinner and overnight at Ikoma Wild Camp.
