Day by Day Overview

After breakfast in Arusha, set off on the drive on tarmac road 130 km to Lake Manyara National Park for afternoon game drives (with a lunch box). Start the game drive through underground water forest, proceed to acacia woodland savanna open land, pass by hot water springs and proceed to Lake Manyara. About 350 species of birds have been recorded here including many flamingos and other water birds. The park is also home to tree climbing lions, hippo, elephant, zebra, buffalo, giraffe, baboon, blue and velvet monkey, warthog and more.

Dinner and overnight at Octagon Lodge

You will have an early morning breakfast in Manyara, then drive to the great Serengeti National Park with lunch and game drives en route. During your afternoon game drive in the park, you might see lion, leopard, elephant, cheetah, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, eland, wild dog, gazelles, crocodile and more as well as numerous birds including migrants. Proceed with game viewing around Seronera or eastward.

Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Mbugani Tented Camp

After breakfast follows a full day game drive in the Serengeti National park. In the afternoon, we will continue with game viewing to the north east of the park. This is Lobo area where the main path of the Serengeti wildebeest migration passes. Dependingon the time of year, you may well see this incredible spectacle.

Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Mbugani Tented Camp

Enjoy a half day game viewing in the Lobo area, where you will have lunch before you drive back to Seronera, the centre of the Serengeti. Proceed with game viewing around Seronera or eastward.

Wake up for early morning game drives in Serengeti then head back to the campsite for breakfast. Afterwards, depart from the Serengeti and head to the Ngorongoro Crater rim with lunch and game viewing en route.

Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge

Wake up early in the morning for breakfast and then descend into the crater floor for game drives. All the big five (rhino, lion, buffalo, and elephant) live in this wonderful caldera together with zebra, hippo, wildebeest, hyena and much more. Birds include flamingos on the soda lake, geese, storks and vultures. Enjoy lunch in the picnic site at Ngoitoktok swamp, which is a hippo pool. After lunch, drive back to Arusha.
