Day by Day Overview

A morning pick-up and a short safari briefing before driving to Lake Manyara National Park for a day in the park. We will drive through Mto Wa Mbu, an agricultural town before reaching the park. The park consists of a massive soda lake at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment and houses large populations of elephant and flamingos. It is also known for its famous tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing your search for wildlife. In the late afternoon you will make your way to your lodge for the evening.

Overnight at Lake Manyara Hotel/Lake Manyara Serena Lodge: lunch & dinner

After breakfast you will leave the lodge for your morning game drive as you search for the wildlife that you didn’t manage to see the previous day. In the afternoon you will have lunch at the lodge and have a short rest before your afternoon game drive. Later in the afternoon you will drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area so that you can enter the crater first thing in the morning.

Overnight at Ngorongoro Serena/Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge: breakfast, lunch & dinner

In the morning you will head out to explore the massive crater, famous for its huge concentration of wildlife and its impressive bio-diversity. If you are lucky, witness predators on the hunt and see the big five. The crater is home to alkaline lakes, forest, hot springs and is the largest unbroken volcanic caldera on earth. After a day in the crater, head back to your lodge for the evening.

Overnight at Ngorongoro Serena/Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge: breakfast, lunch & dinner

After breakfast you will make your way to Tarangire National Park with a picnic lunch. The park takes its name from the Tarangire River which crosses the center of the park and provides a permanent water source and helps support vast amounts of wildlife year round. The are many Acacia Thorn Trees as well as massive Baobab Trees scattered across the park. The reserve also holds one of the largest elephant herds in Africa. There are over 350 bird species making this park a bird-lovers paradise. Later make your way to your lodge for the evening.

Overnight at Tarangire Safari Lodge/Tarangire Sopa Lodge: breakfast, lunch & dinner

In the morning after some breakfast you will have your last game drive and enjoy a walking safari to experience the African bush on foot. Make your way back to camp for a hearty lunch and a rest before making your way back to Moshi or the airport for your flight home.
