Day by Day Overview
Upon completion of your mountain climb or wildlife safari, board your island-bound flight from either Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport. On arrival at Aman Abeid Karume International Airport you will be met for the 1:30 hour transfer by private vehicle to Paje. Check in at Paje by Night hotel then relax for the rest of the day. You can use this time to swim, explore the ocean, walk on the beach and discover the hotel and its facilities.

After your breakfast you will meet your driver at 10:00 am ready to go to the spice plantation for your day trip. A 1:30 hour drive will take you to Kizimkazi where there are spice farms and you will meet a tour guide there for a 3-hour guided tour inside the farm. You will learn about different spices found in Zanzibar, how they cultivate, harvest, dry and use them in daily life and their benefits. Later you will have your lunch inside the spice farm in a shady area and you are advised to carry a piece of clothing to put on the ground to sit on. After that you will head back at your hotel for relaxing and swimming at the beach.

After breakfast in the morning, you will have time to relax at the beach before the transfer to Stone Town. Lunch is at your leisure followed by an afternoon private guided Stone Town Walking Tour. Stone Town is rich in history, culture and architecture of the diverse people that call this island home. A walking tour is the only way to truly experience this ancient city, which exists today much as it did when Zanzibar was a great trading center known the world over for spices, ivory and slaves. The two and a half hour tour takes you through the streets and back alleys to Stone Town’s famous and infamous spots, including the location of the slave market, Sultans’ palaces, Beit el Ajaib (House of Wonders), the old Arab Fort, artist studios and museums. Feel the rhythm of life in the main marketplace, alive with the chatter of locals bargaining in Swahili and the vibrant palette of colors from the fabrics, tropical fruits, spices, and intricately carved wooden handicrafts.
In the evening, you will walk to Forodhani garden with your guide for a sea food dinner. Move among the food vendors, choose which sea food you want to eat, watch it getting prepared for you and enjoy!

Enjoy a day at your leisure to explore Stone Town until transfer the Zanzibar airport for your short hop (20 minutes) flight to Dar es Salaam, where you can board your international flight home.
