Day by Day Overview
Our driver will come to pick you up at your hotel in Dar es Salaam at around 5:00 am for your transfer to Mikumi National Park, which will take about 5 to 6 hours. At Morogoro, you will get a hot lunch then enjoy game drives until sunset. You will see a lot animals such as elephants, lions, antelopes and more. After the game drive, you will be taken to Camp Bastian for dinner, preparations for the next day schedule, and overnight.
In the morning after breakfast, you will be picked-up from your camp and driven to Nyerere National Park. There is a picnic lunch on the way and you will arrive there in the evening. Head out a boat safari, where you’ll spot hippos and crocodiles in their natural habitat. Meals and your overnight will be offered at the lodge or camp.
On this day, after breakfast, from 7:30 am until the evening, you will have a full game drive tour in Nyerere National Park, formerly known as Selous Game Reserve. The journey will start from the lodge or camp where you will be taken by our professional drivers and guides. You will get to see animals including elephants, zebras, giraffes, antelopes and many more, as well as birds and beautiful scenery with varied topography including wetlands, dry grassland, light acacia forest and higher ground with vast views of far off mountains. In afternoon, you will have your packed lunch and some time to rest. Then continue with game drives until in the evening when you will return to camp or lodge for dinner, sleep and preparation for your last day.
On this day, you will get your morning tea then do a bushman walking tour in the forest accompanied with an armed ranger. After the walking tour, you will go back to your camp for breakfast. Afterwards prepare to drive back to Dar es Salaam and on the way you will stop for to eat lunch.
