Day by Day Overview
Depart from Nairobi city hotel after breakfast and drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve with your first stop over at the Great Rift Valley view point. Take some pictures of the beautiful scenery of the Great Rift Valley. You will see Mount Longonot and escarpment floor as one of the physical features. Proceed to Narok town where you will have your lunch and finally Maasai Mara National Reserve arriving in the evening.
The Maasai Mara offers excellent game viewing for the big five and much more wildlife as well as the set for the annual wildebeest migration, depending on the month. Upon arrival, check in for around ten minutes before you set off on your afternoon game drive. Be prepared to see awesome views of the sunset as well as some of the remarkable game which lives here. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.
After breakfast at the camp, set out for the sunrise and afternoon game drive with a picnic lunch so as to have extensive game viewing. Enjoy all the game drives as planned and enjoy your picnic lunch in the reserve thereafter. Masai Mara National Reserve is the most well known tourist destination in East Africa, a haven of wildlife located in the heart of the Great Rift Valley with a variety of natural vegetation that the wild animals use as their habitat.
It is also known as the epitome of the Kenya wildlife viewing areas where visitors can’t afford to miss setting their eyes upon the so called big cats of the jungle which is the expectations of most visitors who set foot in the country for the first time. Expect to see wide range of animals in their natural habitat including giraffe, wildebeest, common zebra, elephant, gazelle, topi and many different bird species. You can opt to visit Masai village to get an understanding of their unique lifestyle and culture (additional cost). Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.
Pick up by your driver guide for sunrise game viewing after which you will drive back to the camp for full breakfast. Check out formality as usual and later drive to Lake Nakuru National Park arriving in the evening with late lunch at City Max Hotel. The park is small but is home to a rare black and white rhino sanctuary as well as much other wildlife and a number of birds. Dinner and overnight stay in City Max Hotel.
Wake up for morning breakfast then proceed for a game drive in the Lake Nakuru National Park. Expect to see the black and white rhino and birds of different species. Check out of the park and drive to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon. Drop off at your hotel or transfer to the airport to connect with your flight back home.
