Day by Day Overview

A morning pick-up after breakfast and a drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its huge baobab trees and large herds of elephants. Enjoy a full day of games drives around the park stopping for a picnic lunch next to a lagoon. Expect beautiful scenery and amazing sightings before heading to your camp for the evening.

Overnight at Fanaka Safari Lodge: breakfast, lunch & dinner

After breakfast you will make your way to Mto wa Mbu for a visit to this famous village town that houses more then 100 different tribes. Thereafter you will drop down 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a diverse habitat supporting an impressive array of wildlife thanks to its year round water supply. The crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site which is considered one of the most beautiful and unique places in Africa where Maasai tribes and wildlife live alongside one another. Visit Lake Magadi, and see hippos, thousands of flamingos and various other water birds. After a day of game viewing, make your way back to your lodge for the evening.

Overnight at Fanaka Safari Lodge: breakfast, lunch & dinner

After an early breakfast, you will depart for a half day game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its unique tree-climbing lions. After some game viewing and your last taste of the bush, make your way back to Arusha or the airport in the late afternoon.
