Tour Overview

This tour begins in either Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar and takes you by flight to Saadani National Park. Your two-night stay will involve game drives and a boat safari on the Wami River. Saadani National Park is the only park in Tanzania bordering the beaches on the Indian Ocean. The park was founded in 2005 and encompasses a well-preserved ecosystem from the former Saadani Game Reserve and Mkwaia Ranch Area.

Day by Day Overview

Our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam at 07h00 and transfer you to the airport to catch your flight to Saadani National Park for your exclusive tour. Alternatively, you can fly from Zanzibar. The flight takes 45 minutes from Dar es Salaam and 15 minutes from Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you will go on a game drive in Saadani National Park. Dinner and overnight stay at the Simply Saadani Camp.

  • Accommodation: Simply Saadani Camp (mid-range lodge located inside Saadani NP)
  • Meals & Drinks: All meals included and drinking water (other drinks not included)

You will be picked up from the hotel after breakfast at 07j00 and proceed to Saadani National Park for a game drive, returning later for dinner. Saadani is where bush meets beach. You will be able to spot a variety of animals, including elephants, giraffe, zebras, lions and many different types of birds, to name just a few!

Enjoy an early morning boat safari on the Wami River. Then  have breakfast and set off on a half-day game drive. At 13h00 hours you will drive towards the airstrip to catch your flight back to Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar, which will depart from Saadani National Park between 14h45 and 15h15. This will be the end of your exciting tour of Saadani!
