Day by Day Overview

Your unforgettable Kenyan safari begins at 7:00 AM with a pick-up from your hotel, residence, or the airport. As we head southeast, the journey through the Kenyan countryside offers a picturesque view of local towns and villages along the route. The adventure truly begins the moment we enter the gates of Amboseli National Park, where a game drive starts immediately. Expect sightings of some of the great wildlife that roam these vast lands as we make our way to your chosen lodge or camp.

Upon arrival, enjoy a delicious lunch before setting off for your first full game drive. As you explore the park, you’ll be accompanied by the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, which provides a breath-taking backdrop for your photos. The beauty of Amboseli’s wildlife and landscapes will leave you awe-struck. In the evening, return to your lodge or camp for a relaxing dinner. Most accommodations feature expansive terraces or large windows, offering perfect vantage points to enjoy the sweeping views of the park’s landscape as the sun sets.

Included in your first day of the safari:

  • Accommodation at your selected camp or lodge
  • Overnight stay inside Amboseli National Park
  • Lunch and dinner (breakfast not included)
  • Drinking water (other beverages available at extra cost)

As dawn breaks over the plains, Mount Kilimanjaro stands proudly in the distance, its towering peak often visible before the day’s clouds roll in. This early hour offers the best opportunity to witness the awe-inspiring sight of Kilimanjaro while also observing the wildlife beginning to stir and prepare for another day in Amboseli. Head out into the park in the cool, early morning light for a game drive, with the aim of experiencing both the majestic mountain and the first signs of life across the plains. Once you’ve satisfied your thirst for wonder, return to your lodge or camp for breakfast. Afterward, you’ll venture straight back into the expansive grasslands of Amboseli to continue your safari.

For those seeking a deeper cultural experience, we offer a visit to a traditional Masai village for an additional fee of $25. The Masai people are renowned for their ability to thrive in the harsh environment of East Africa, alongside some of the world’s most fascinating and dangerous wildlife. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed with a traditional song and dance, then given the chance to walk through the village, immersing yourself in their vibrant culture and daily life.

After your visit, continue your journey eastward towards Tsavo West National Park. Upon arrival at your camp or lodge, enjoy a delicious lunch before setting off on an afternoon game drive to explore the diverse landscapes and unique terrain that Tsavo offers. In the evening, return to your accommodation for a delightful dinner and a well-deserved rest, ready for another exciting day ahead.

Included in your second day of the safari:

  • Accommodation at your camp or lodge
  • Overnight stay inside Tsavo West National Park
  • Breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  • Drinking water (other beverages available at extra cost)

As dawn breaks over the savanna, you’ll find yourself within sight of the incredible wildlife that thrives in Tsavo West National Park. The early morning is a time of activity and wonder on the plains, as the animals begin to stir, preparing for the day ahead. Tsavo West is renowned for its large herds of elephants, which number around 3,500, along with a host of other incredible wildlife, including:

  • Zebras
  • Wildebeest
  • Lions
  • Giraffes
  • Hippos
  • And many more…

Once you’ve witnessed the sun rise and the animals beginning their day, you’ll return to your camp or lodge for a hearty breakfast. Afterward, it’s time to prepare for your journey back to Nairobi, but not before one final game drive through the park. This includes a visit to the Mzima Hot Springs, a lush oasis that provides vital water to the wildlife in this otherwise dry and arid landscape.

During your drive back, you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing on your way. Whether you’re heading to Nairobi for a flight or returning to your hotel or residence, we’ll drop you off at your preferred location.

Included in the final day of your safari:

  • Breakfast and lunch (no dinner provided)
  • Drinking water (other beverages available at extra cost)
  • Final game drive and visit to Mzima Hot Springs
  • Drop-off at your hotel, residence, or Nairobi International Airport
