Day by Day Overview

Arrive at the airport and be met by our representative who will escort you to your hotel. Receive a short briefing for your safari beginning the next day.

Overnight at Boma Guest Hotel: dinner

Make your way to Murchison Falls National Park  via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where you can see rhino. Once in the park, enjoy a game drive and visit the top of the falls. The falls are one of the main attractions which sees the Nile River forced through a narrow gorge and crashing down over 60 meters.

Overnight at Kabalega Wilderness Lodge: breakfast, lunch & dinner

An early morning game drive in this beautiful park, searching for spectacular African wildlife. In the afternoon you will take a boat ride on the Victoria Nile, upstream to the bottom of the falls. The boat is the perfect platform to see and photograph many different bird species.

Overnight at Kabalega Wilderness Lodge: breakfast, lunch & dinner

An early morning game drive or take an optional boat trip on the Nile to the delta surrounding Lake Albert. Alternatively you could also enjoy a guided walk through the Budongo Forest. In the afternoon we will drive to Hoima.

Overnight at Hoima Cultural Lodge: breakfast, lunch & dinner

After breakfast you will make your way to Kibale National Park. Arrive in the afternoon and have the option to enjoy a walk around the local community or just relax at the lodge. The Kibale Forest is spectacular and is home to 13 primate species.

Overnight at Primate Lodge: breakfast, lunch & dinner

The trek can take place in the morning or the afternoon. It is also possible to upgrade this 1-hour trek to a 4-hour experience, allowing for more time in the forest to discover the many primate and bird species that live there. Experience the thrill of finding and observing these amazing apes. Later head back to camp before a nature walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. Alternatively visit the local community or the crater lakes.

Overnight at Primate Lodge: breakfast, lunch & dinner

Head to Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing the equator and an opportunity to take some photos. Enjoy an afternoon game drive before heading to camp for the evening.

Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge: breakfast, lunch & dinner

A morning game drive and an afternoon boat trip on the Kazinga Channel allow for some excellent game viewing. The Kazinga Channel is home to one of the highest concentration of hippos in the world and is a highlight of any trip to Uganda.

After breakfast you will head out on a drive through the park to the Ishasha region of the reserve in the south. An afternoon game drive in search of the famous tree-climbing lions. Another unique sighting in Ishasha is Topi antelope.

Overnight at Ishasha Wilderness Tented Camp: breakfast, lunch & dinner

After a final early morning drive, head to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Enjoy breathtaking views of the mountains as you pass through the rural villages on the way. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest has numerous primate species and is one of only two places on earth where you can find mountain gorillas.

Lodge depends on the group of gorillas you will track due to availability of the permits

An early departure as you set off in search for one of the world’s most interesting and endangered animals, the mountain gorilla. Experience the thrill of discovering these huge apes and sit with them for up to an hour of undisturbed bliss. Later you will return to camp for an afternoon of relaxing after this amazing and emotional experience.

Drive to Lake Mutanda, one of the most beautiful places in Uganda. On a clear day you can see the 3 volcanoes in the distance. Relax at the lodge or enjoy some optional activities, one of which is included in your package. Activities include: a boat trip on the lake, a guided walk along the lake or a village visit to meet the pygmies.

Overnight at Chameleon Hill Lodge: breakfast, lunch & dinner

After breakfast you will visit Mgahinga Gorilla National Park and enjoy one of the many activities including a hike to see the golden monkeys or a climb up the volcano. Later drive to Lake Bunyonyi for an evening next to this magnificent lake.

Overnight at Bird Nest Lodge: breakfast, lunch & dinner

After breakfast you will make your way to Lake Mburo National Park. A game drive or an optional boat trip on the lake in the afternoon awaits. In the evening you can go on an optional night drive with a high chances of seeing leopard. Lake Mburo is one of the two national parks with zebra and the only park with impala in the whole of Uganda.

Overnight at Mihingo Lodge: breakfast, lunch & dinner

A morning game drive or bush walk before making your way out of the reserve. On your way back to Entebbe, stop at the Equator once more before heading to the airport for your flight home.
