Day by Day Overview
After your arrival at Entebbe Airport, enjoy a warm welcome from our representative followed by a quick briefing. You will have an afternoon around Kampala and later connect to your preferred hotel for overnight stay.
Leave Kampala for Jinja to explore the source of the Nile following breakfast in your hotel. Drive through Mukono with en-route visit at Ssezibwa Falls. At the source of the Nile, enjoy half a day white water rafting experience. If time allows, you will pay a visit to Itanda Falls. Return to Kampala in the evening.
Have an early morning breakfast and afterwards drive to Budongo Forest. En-route, make a stopover at Luwero Town to have some fruits and then proceed to Budongo Forest to check into your lodge.
Breakfast early in the morning and afterwards a briefing on chimp tracking etiquette at Kaniyo-Pabidi. At 8:00am, head to search for your chimpanzee community led by a park guide. This takes 2-4 hours, inclusive of one hour for photography. Return for lunch and then proceed to the top of the Murchison Falls for amazing views.
After breakfast, enjoy your game drive taking 2-3 hours. This gets you incredible views of wildlife species including Rothschild giraffes, buffaloes, lions, antelopes, elephants, leopards, birds, which includes shoebill storks. Return from the game drive for lunch before getting on an afternoon boat trip lasting for 2-3 hours. Expect to head towards the bottom of Murchison Falls, enjoying the sight of hippos, crocodiles and aquatic bird species.
Have breakfast and then enjoy a boat cruise to the delta point. This lets you enjoy a good view of waterbirds including shoebill stork, as well as hippos and crocodiles. Return for lunch then drive to Hoima while viewing the Albertine Rift Valley. Upon arrival, check into a hotel in Hoima town.
Breakfast in the morning and then depart Hoima for Kibale Forest National Park. Go through traditional homesteads and enjoy excellent views of tea plantations in Fort Portal. Lunch is enjoyed en-route in Fort Portal and then you check into the lodge in Kibale Forest.
After a hefty breakfast transfer to Kanyanchu Visitor Centre to be briefed on etiquette for chimp tracking in Kibale National Park. Starting at 8:00am, after a briefing and once the guide is allocated to you, you head off to look for a habituated chimpanzee community. This will be a 2-4 hours on-foot experience that includes viewing not only chimpanzees but also the red-tailed monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, birds and others. Get back to chill at the lodge, have lunch and then visit Bigodi Wetland in the afternoon.
Have a tasty cup of tea/coffee and afterwards spend 2-3 hours’ driving to Queen Elizabeth National Park. En-route, have good sighting of the Crater Lakes. Lunch is taken in Kasese and on arrival in Queen Elizabeth National Park (QENP) enjoy an afternoon game drive.
Get up for your breakfast and later leave the lodge for 2-3 hours’ game viewing experience. Drive via Kasenyi Plains while sighting species of wildlife including African elephants, Cape buffaloes, leopards, hyenas, waterbucks, lions, Kobs, birds and others. Return from the savanna plains of Kasenyi and have lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, you will have another 2-3 hour boat cruise along Kazinga Channel to see hippos, crocodiles and aquatic birds. Get back from Kazinga channel boat cruise to relax, dine and spend a night at the lodge.
Early morning breakfast and later, drive towards Katwe Salt Lake then continue to Ishasha area to see the tree climbing lions. Your next visit will be Bwindi in Southwestern Uganda.
Breakfast in the morning and then go to Bwindi offices for a briefing before setting off for your gorilla trekking experience beginning at 8:00am. You will take 2-6 hours on this adventure and this includes one hour of face to face with a family of mountain gorillas in the wild. The park has 20 habituated families distributed around its 4 regions; Buhoma, Rushaga, Ruhija sector and Nkuringo gorilla trekking regions.
Following an early morning breakfast, check out of the lodge for Lake Mburo National Park. You will be driven via the rolling Kigezi hills and lunch will be offered en-route then game drive shortly. You will enjoy a full boat cruise in the afternoon along Lake Mburo where you will sight some hippos, crocodiles and water birds.
After breakfast set off for a guided nature walk along Lake Mburo shores. You will come across some zebras, reedbucks, buffaloes, birds and others. Get back to check out of the lodge in Lake Mburo and prepare to drive back to Kampala with en-route stopover at Equator crossing.
