He guides you through the entire Tanzania visa application process, skipping long immigration queues. You will be escorted from arrival to departure, making your arrival to Tanzania completely worry-free. Upon exiting the airport, a Galloping Safaris representative will transfer you to Arusha (30 minutes). Arrive at Kili Villa Retreat, a charming hotel with beautiful views of Mount Meru, the ideal place to acclimatize to Africa or simply relax in the poolside gardens with a chilled drink. On cool winter evenings, get cosy next to a fireplace, sip one of the best coffees you will ever taste and enjoy dinner at the lodge’s restaurant.

Dinner and overnight: Kili Villa Retreat

Depart 08h00 from Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, a unique place with some of Tanzania’s largest populations of elephant and diverse scenery, including the dramatic baobab trees that are so typical of the park. Enjoy a picnic lunch near a stretch of the Tarangire River. More game drives until the end of the day when you drive to Tarangire Kuro Treetop Lodge for dinner and overnight. However, it is the pure delight and sheer pleasure of luxury tents that will remain with you for years to come, and will keep you returning, if only in spirit, to this delightfully dreamlike lodge. Sunset Hill is the perfect location to sit atop and enjoy the deep orange sunsets that often welcome in the starry skies. With food and drinks served by the staff, this is truly a magical experience not to be missed.

Dinner and overnight: Tarangire Kuro Treetop Lodge

Wake early for a morning game drive through Tarangire National Park while the wildlife is at its most active, with a picnic breakfast served along the way. Keep your eyes peeled for four of the Big Five, as well as the unique tree-climbing pythons that inhabit the reserve. You’ll return to the lodge for lunch, then depart on a two-hour walking safari to get a completely different perspective on this wilderness area. Track wildlife on foot and experience the bush as the animals would see it through sight, sound and smell. In the late afternoon, you’ll return to the lodge for dinner, then head out again after dark for a night game drive. This is an exciting opportunity to discover some of Tarangire’s nocturnal species, including porcupines, pangolin and aardvark.

Dinner and overnight: Tarangire Kuro Treetop Lodge

After a hearty breakfast at Kuro camp, you’ll begin the day with a walking tour through the rural town of Mto wa Mbu, which is unique in that it’s home to more than 120 different tribal groups. Experience the colour and diversity of languages and customs as you explore the town’s banana plantations and rice fields, as well as a local brewery, a school and a carving workshop. You’ll then continue driving to Lake Manyara National Park, which centers around a large soda lake that’s fringed by long-legged flamingos. On a game drive here, you’ll get to see the park’s large population of baboons, together with giraffes, elephants, hippos, zebras and elephants. Keep an eye out for the park’s unique tree-climbing lions and enjoy the exceptional birdlife and spectacular views for which Lake Manyara is renowned. In the late afternoon, you’ll continue driving to the Escarpment Luxury Lodge where you’ll have time to freshen up before dinner is served.

Dinner and overnight: Escarpment Luxury Lodge

After breakfast drive to Serengeti National Park with a brief visit en route to Olduvai Gorge, often referred to as ‘The Cradle of Mankind’ and is one of the most important prehistoric sites in the world. Today you’ll experience the iconic Serengeti National Park, which is considered one of the best places in Africa to spot the Big Five (lion, elephant, leopard, rhino and buffalo). It’s home to a staggering number of species, particularly during the annual Great Wildebeest Migration that traverses the park en-route to new pastures in the Maasai Mara. Depending on the time of year you’re visiting, you may get to witness this incredible natural spectacle as millions of wildebeest and zebras (followed by opportunistic predators) make this long journey. In the late afternoon, you’ll continue to the Kubu Kubu Tented Camp where dinner will be served.

Dinner and overnight: Kubu Kubu Tented Camp

Early breakfast then a full day of game drives in Serengeti National Park. The park, its name from the Maasai word Siringitu meaning endless plain, is located along the rift valley and is abound with geological formations. One of Serengeti’s defining features are its kopjes (pronounced copy), a feature of continual weathering. These islands in the sea of grass are formed as the top soil comprising of rock and ash is eroded exposing the covered layer of metamorphic rock. These exposed rock forms, kopjes, are round as a result of spherical wind weathering. The national park covers an area of 14800 square kilometres most of which is grass plains. These rich grass plains are a result of ash deposited by volcanic eruptions, and provide a home to 3 million animals. Within these grass plains the scattered kopjes act as a heaven for animals from grass fires, predators and the heat. The game drives in this park are exceptional and game viewing incredible, offering the best opportunity of viewing cheetah, leopard and lion.

Dinner and overnight: Kubu Kubu Tented Camp

Today you will explore the famous Ngorongoro Crater during a wonderful game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater. Often described as one of Africa’s ‘Garden of Eden’, Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations. It is one of the few places where the rare black rhino can be observed in their natural setting. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. With a bit of luck, the Big Five can be spotted during one game drive only. Later drive to the lush retreat of Sanctuary Ngorongoro Crater Camp for sundowners at the lodge. The ever-inviting fireplace pit by the campfire where the Swahili lessons with fun are offered by our staff.

Dinner and overnight: Sanctuary Ngorongoro Crater Camp

Today you’ll return to Arusha in time for lunch at the Gran Melia Hotel before continuing on to the Kili Villa Retreat. It affords magnificent views of Mount Meru and the iconic peak of Mount Kilimanjaro to the north, as well as sweeping panoramas of the Maasai Steppe to the south. Take time to soak up this natural majesty before dinner is served.

Dinner and overnight: Kili Villa Retreat

Begin the day with a hearty breakfast and ready yourself for a full day of golf on what has been listed as one of the “Top 10 best golf courses of Africa”. With carefully tended fairways and stunning views, you’ll soon understand why. Return to the Kili Villa Retreat at the end of your game, with plenty of time to relax before dinner.
