Moremi Game Reserve is a gem of a national park, one of Botswana’s most famous, which has garnered a number of important distinctions including in 2008 being voted the ‘best game reserve in Africa’. Dugout canoes are used to navigate past hippos, elephants and crocodiles while on dry land, wildlife includes lions, leopards, giraffes and rhinos.

The Okavango Delta, a World Heritage Site, is one of Africa’s last remaining great wildlife habitat and provides refuge to huge concentrations of game. Known as the ‘Jewel of the Kalahari’, it’s a vast inland river delta in northern Botswana, with sprawling grassy plains which flood seasonally, becoming a lush animal habitat.

05:30 am:  The day will start with a wake up call – exchange of morning greetings in the local Setswana language – “Dumela” means “Good morning” in English.

O6:00 am: Breakfast will be served at the scheduled time. Then in the company of a professional mokoro guide you will take a mokoro safari trip along the tributaries of the Okavango Delta. During this tour, there is a high possibility of viewing wild animals as they come to drink water along the many tributaries of the delta. Once back at the mokoro landing base, the guide will set up a picnic lunch with table and chairs. After lunch, around 2 pm, depart for the downstream return trip to the camp site by using a different combination of channels, arriving at the original boarding point before 6 pm.

18:00 pm: Return to the camp site.

19:30 pm: Dinner will be served around the camp fire.

20:30 pm: Retire to bed.

05:30 am:  The day will start with a wake up call and time to take a morning shower.

06:00 am: Breakfast will be served at the scheduled time. Afterwards we dismantle the camping tents and pack all the equipment in the vehicle. You’ll then be transferred from Moremi Game Reserve to Kasane/Kazungula in the Chobe region by road (about 5-7 hours drive). You will see a variety of wildlife on the way to the Chobe region.

Spend the next two nights at Aquamo Lodge and campsite (alternatively at any other available good tourist accommodation facility) in Kazungula next to Kasane. All your meals and selected drinks will be offered to you as scheduled. Kazungula is an exciting base for conducting safari activities in Chobe National Park.

Midday: Enjoy lunch at Chobe Safari Lodge around noon, and then enjoy free time relaxing in the shade before a 3-hour boat cruise on the Chobe River. The river cruise is considered one of the highlights of the Chobe trip with the opportunity to get up close and personal with fantastic bird life, hippos, crocodiles and of course scores of elephant and Cape buffalo that make their way down to the river to quench their thirst
