This guided tour starts in Maun, Botswana, gateway to the Okavango Delta, proceeds through Botswana’s Moremi Game Reserve, eastern Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park before entering neighboring Zambia at Kazungula ferry border point. Head to Livingstone, home to the Victoria Falls, before proceeding to Kafue National Park, Zambia’s largest national park. The tour ends in Lusaka, the capital city of Zambia.

Day by Day Overview
The tour starts in Maun, the tourist hub of north-west Botswana and the main gateway to the renowned Okavango Delta. You will be met and transferred to your accommodation in Maun.
Moremi Game Reserve is a gem of a national park, one of Botswana’s most famous, which has garnered a number of important distinctions including in 2008 being voted the ‘best game reserve in Africa’. Dugout canoes are used to navigate past hippos, elephants and crocodiles while on dry land, wildlife includes lions, leopards, giraffes and rhinos.
05:30 am – 06:00 am: Wake up in Maun at a comfortable tourist accommodation facility equipped with WiFi. Take breakfast as scheduled. Listen to a short briefing by the Tour Director on some pertinent facts such as safety, required eco-tour practices expected during the entire tour and some relevant regional information.
06:00 am: Pack up all your personal belongings for a quick check-out.
06.10 am: After pick up proceed to Moremi Game Reserve in open-sided 4×4 safari vehicles, with coffee/tea being served whilst viewing game on the way. You will see some of Botswana’s most breathtaking scenery on the way to an ideal camping location. The camp site services include food, beer/wine, dinner prepared and served by a certified chef.
Setting up tents: You will be required to help out with setting up tents as well as some minor camp chores.
Midday lunch: After setting up the accommodation camp tents, sumptuous meals will be served at table and chairs. After lunch you may rest for a while in a shady, beautiful setting to soak up the peace and serenity of the Okavango Delta.
Afternoon game drive: Enjoy an afternoon game drive searching for lions, wild dogs, leopards and other wildlife. Mineral water will be available whilst on game drive.
18:00 pm: You will return to the camp site.
19:30 pm: Dinner will be served around the camp fire.
20:00 pm: Retire to bed.
The Okavango Delta, a World Heritage Site, is one of Africa’s last remaining great wildlife habitat and provides refuge to huge concentrations of game. Known as the ‘Jewel of the Kalahari’, it’s a vast inland river delta in northern Botswana, with sprawling grassy plains which flood seasonally, becoming a lush animal habitat.
05:30 am: The day will start with a wake up call – exchange of morning greetings in the local Setswana language – “Dumela” means “Good morning” in English.
O6:00 am: Breakfast will be served at the scheduled time. Then in the company of a professional mokoro guide you will take a mokoro safari trip along the tributaries of the Okavango Delta. During this tour, there is a high possibility of viewing wild animals as they come to drink water along the many tributaries of the delta. Once back at the mokoro landing base, the guide will set up a picnic lunch with table and chairs. After lunch, around 2 pm, depart for the downstream return trip to the camp site by using a different combination of channels, arriving at the original boarding point before 6 pm.
18:00 pm: Return to the camp site.
19:30 pm: Dinner will be served around the camp fire.
20:30 pm: Retire to bed.
05:30 am: The day will start with a wake up call and time to take a morning shower.
06:00 am: Breakfast will be served at the scheduled time. Afterwards we dismantle the camping tents and pack all the equipment in the vehicle. You’ll then be transferred from Moremi Game Reserve to Kasane/Kazungula in the Chobe region by road (about 5-7 hours drive). You will see a variety of wildlife on the way to the Chobe region.
Spend the next two nights at Aquamo Lodge and campsite (alternatively at any other available good tourist accommodation facility) in Kazungula next to Kasane. All your meals and selected drinks will be offered to you as scheduled. Kazungula is an exciting base for conducting safari activities in Chobe National Park.
05:30 am: Wake up call, pack up your personal belongings for quick check-out immediately after the tour. Leave your bag at reception area for safe storage. Leave for Chobe National Park on an early morning departure which ensures the best opportunities for viewing big cats and other nocturnal animals.
06:30 am: Upon arrival at Chobe National Park, embark on a game drive in the park. The local guide will help spot native wildlife, including cats, in their natural environment.
Midday: Enjoy lunch at Chobe Safari Lodge around noon, and then enjoy free time relaxing in the shade before a 3-hour boat cruise on the Chobe River. The river cruise is considered one of the highlights of the Chobe trip with the opportunity to get up close and personal with fantastic bird life, hippos, crocodiles and of course scores of elephant and Cape buffalo that make their way down to the river to quench their thirst
16:30 pm: Return to the lodge to pick up your personal belongings. Head for Botswana’s Kazungula Ferry border for exit to Zambia. Upon completion of immigration and customs formalities on the Zambian border side, proceed travelling to Livingstone, the tourist capital city of Zambia and adventure centre of Africa, about 72 km away
19:30 pm: Welcome to Zambia! Arrive in Livingstone, stay at a available good tourist accommodation facility.
Livingstone is home to the mighty Victoria Falls, a UNESCO-listed waterfall, one of the Natural Seven Wonders of the World and the largest falling sheet of water in the world. Victoria Falls is on the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia.
06:10 am: Wake up call.
07:00 am – 07: 30 am: Morning breakfast
07:30 am – 08:00: Travel to Mukuni Village within Livingstone zonal area for village activities.
08:00 am – 12:30 pm:
- Village tour
- Visiting the traditional healers or African doctor
- Visiting the craft market
12:30 pm – 13:30 pm: Lunch break
13:30 pm – 13-50 pm: Travel to the mighty Victoria Falls, 12 km from Livingstone city centre travelling southwards towards the Zimbabwe border.
14:00 pm – 15.30 pm: Tour of the spectacular Victoria Falls.
15:30 pm – 15:40 pm: Leave for Avani Victoria Falls Resort Hotel, to visit the mock traditional village behind the resort.
15:40 pm –17:00 pm: Tour the mock traditional villages and appreciate the mimicked African traditional villages. Possibly some female members can have their hair plaited in the African style on their own account.
17:10 pm – 17:30 pm: Return to your lodge in Livingstone for the night.
19:00 pm – 21:30 pm: Enjoy dinner.
21: 30 pm: Retire to bed.
05:30 pm – 06:10 pm: Wake up call then breakfast.
06:20 pm: Water based activities. Transfer to Victoria Falls for the Devil’s Pool experience (depending on the time of year and subject to your approval). If you are not comfortable undertaking the Devil’s Pool experience, alternative activity will be arranged for you.
12: 30 pm: Lunch break
01:00 pm – 17:00 pm: Enjoy an afternoon of rest.
19:30 pm: Dinner
21:00 pm: Head to bed for a good night’s sleep.
Leave early in the morning for Kalomo en-route to the Kafue National Park. No Zambia safari would be complete without a visit to Kafue National Park, one of Africa’s largest parks and especially good for spotting a variety of wild animals and lions!
05:30 am – 06:10 am: Wake up call, thereafter breakfast.
06:20 am – 09:30 am: Leave for Kalomo travelling north on a good tar road covering about 120 km.
09:30 am – 09:40 am: Arrive in Kalomo town, the first colonial capital city of Northern Rhodesia, now Zambia. Hit the dust road to the wilderness of the Kafue National Park.
12:00 pm – 12:10 pm: Enter the Kafue National Park at the southern tip of the park at Dundumwezi gate, around 80 km from Kalomo.
12:10 pm – 16:10 pm: Commence game drive along the recently upgraded gravel road inside the Kafue National Park southern area to see plenty of wildlife. Exit the park at MUSA gate.
16:30 pm – Arrive at CMS Lodge (alternatively at any other available good tourist accommodation facility) in Itezhi Tezhi uphill suburb located outside Kafue National Park. It has all the modern amenities ranging including a swimming pool. It is located just a mere 4 km from the main entrance of Kafue National Park.
07:00 am – 07: 30 am: Breakfast
07:30 am – 10:00 am: Leave for the Ngoma Game Area of the Kafue National Park – South (KNP) and enjoy a game viewing excursion.
10:00 am: Arrive at the Elephant Orphanage within the KNP-South
13:30 pm – 14:30 pm: Lunch break at the elephant orphanage and rest.
14:30 pm – 15:20 pm: Travel to the Nkala Game Management Area inside the KNP – South.
15:20 pm – 15.30 pm: Game viewing around Ngoma Game Management Area.
15:30 pm – 17:00 pm: Exit the park at Musa gate and head back to the lodge.
17:00 pm – 18:00 pm: Relax around the camp fire.
21:00 pm: Retire to bed.
05:30 am: Morning rise and breakfast.
06:30 am – 12:30 pm: Travel to Lusaka, Zambia’s capital city.
12:40 pm – 13:30 pm: Check in at a good tourism accommodation facility and have lunch.

18:00 pm: Evening relaxation.
